Our mission is to preserve, protect and promote the history and heritage of Shepton Mallet Prison, by shining a light on prison life from the Jacobean era to the modern day. Visitors are given a unique and immersive prison experience combined with first class customer service. Shepton Mallet Prison was built in 1625 and closed in 2013, making it the countries oldest prison. with over 400 years of history behind its high walls, Shepton Mallet Prison is a must see heritage site.

Reminiscence Learning completed their Jailbreak event at Shepton Mallet Prison with star guests Dick & Dom! Thank you to everyone who took part, raised funds and supported such a fantastic event during Dementia Awareness Week.

The challenge brought plenty of fun, teamwork and creativity, with participants taking on the ultimate escape experience at our prison. From the evening event through to the overnight challenge, the atmosphere was amazing throughout.

A huge thank you as well to special guests Dick and Dom who helped make the event even more memorable for everyone involved!
