🌈✨ ADULT CREATIVE CLUB: NEON ACRYLIC POURING ✨🌈

Our next Adult Creative Club is getting bright, messy and seriously satisfying!

This October we’re exploring neon acrylic pouring — using fluid acrylic paints to create incredible flowing colours, cells, layers and completely unpredictable patterns.

You’ll learn different pouring techniques before choosing your colours and creating your own one-of-a-kind abstract canvas. The best bit? You really can’t get it wrong — every pour develops differently, so no two pieces will ever be the same. 🎨

No previous art experience needed. This is an adults-only evening designed to give you some time to switch off, experiment and just enjoy creating.

🎃🍰 Parent & Child Guided Painting: Spooky Cakes 🍰🎃

Our Parent & Child Guided Painting is back for October half term — and this time we’re getting spooky! 👻🎨

You’ll each have your own canvas and, together, we’ll guide you step-by-step to create a colourful Halloween-inspired spooky cake.

Think drippy icing, candles, cherries, little ghosts, sprinkles, stars and plenty of wonderfully weird decorations! ✨ There’ll be lots of freedom to choose your own colours and details too, so no two spooky cakes need to look the same.

Absolutely no painting experience needed — we’ll take you through everything from sketching your cake to mixing colours, painting with acrylics and adding those all-important finishing touches.

Our first Parent & Child Guided Painting session since summer is here! 🎨👻🍰

And we’re going spooky for October half term…

Come and paint your very own Spooky Cakes together! You’ll each get your own canvas and we’ll guide you step-by-step — from sketching out your cake to painting with acrylics and adding all the weird + wonderful details. Think drippy icing, cherries, candles, ghosts, sprinkles, stars and whatever else you fancy 👻✨

You’ll both be painting the same theme, but your canvases can be completely different — choose your own colours, decorations and make it yours!

🎨 A little Art Room class update!🎨

We’re nearly halfway through our current Kids Art Club term already — how has that happened?! 🥹 And our classes are getting very close to full:

✨ Tuesday Mini Artists (5–8)** — just **1 space left
✨ Saturday Young Artists (8–14)** — just **3 spaces left

Our current term runs until the end of October, then we’ll be back with a brand new term starting in November— with a whole new theme ( it's getting a bit cold) and lots more creating ✏️🎨✨

And for the grown-ups… our 4-week Watercolour Foundations course starts Wednesday 30th September! 💧🖌️

A relaxed introduction to watercolour, learning the foundations, experimenting with techniques and building confidence over four weekly sessions. No experience needed, all materials included — and we now have just 3 spaces left!

Big news from The Art Room… we’re launching THREE brand new ways to get creative + connect today 🎨💌✨

We’ve been thinking a lot about how The Art Room can be more than just coming along to a class — we want it to be somewhere you can meet people, try new things, switch off for a bit and actually make time for yourself. Soooo… meet our three newbies 👀

🎨 OPEN ART SOCIAL — FREE

A super relaxed evening for anyone who just wants to come and make art around other creative people. Bring whatever you’re working on, bring your own materials, grab a cuppa and create alongside us. No teaching. No pressure. Just making things + meeting people.

Every other month | 7–9pm

💌 WOMEN 25+ MEET & MAKE

Making friends as an adult is HARD, so we’re making it a little easier. An evening for women 25+ to come along, create something, chat, have fun and hopefully leave knowing a few more lovely people than when you arrived.

Every other month | 7–9pm

🌷 A MOMENT FOR MUMS — MEMBERSHIP

This one is especially close to our hearts. A monthly membership designed to give mums an actual moment for themselves — to slow down, make something, meet other mums and have some fun outside of the day-to-day.

For £9.99 a month, you’ll get a monthly creative class, parent + child class discounts, gallery event discounts AND all your art materials included.

WE’RE HIRING!!! 🎨✨

We’re looking for another lovely creative art tutor to join The Art Room team!

🎨What does the role involve? 🎨
Your main role will be teaching a mixture of our children’s and adult art classes, workshops and events, by demonstrating techniques, guiding everyone step-by-step, helping people when they get stuck and creating a fun, relaxed and encouraging environment.

🎨Who are we looking for? 🎨
- Someone confident leading and instructing a group�
-Someone with a passion for art and creativity�
- Someone flexible and happy to teach different types of classes and workshops�
- Someone who can work independently and take charge of a session�

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher and you don’t need an art degree or formal art qualifications. We care much more about your creativity, confidence, personality and ability to share your love of art with other people.

Previous teaching experience or experience working with children is lovely, but not essential.

🎨The important bits 🎨
This is a freelance opportunity, paid at £30 per session, including set-up and clean-down.

As the role involves working with children, a DBS check will need to be completed.
First Aid training is a bonus, so please let us know about any current First Aid qualifications or training when applying.

We just want to get to know you and your personality a little, because being confident and comfortable communicating with people is a huge part of the role.
