We're very excited to announce two terrific events taking place at King John's House this summer! 😄 Join us for our Garden Family Day on Saturday 13 June, and as part of this year's Romsey festival, our Medieval Day on Saturday 18 July. With both of these free events offering great activities in the beautiful gardens of our historic site, these are unmissable dates for your diary!

For a fun-filled day of plants, the Garden Family Day on 13 June is the perfect opportunity to explore our beautiful gardens, with children's activities, guided garden tours, a plant sale and more 🌿🌺🌳 While hands-on activities will be at the heart of Medieval Day on 18 July, when you can try your hand at traditional crafts, take aim with archery and create your own medieval shield 🛡🏹🏰

For more information, head to www.kingjohnshouse.org.uk. We look forward to seeing you then!

✨From our collections: Egg-citing finds! ✨

Another egg-themed contraption in the King John’s House and Museum collections has caught our eye! 🥚🐣🤔

To make the perfect boiled egg, we also found in our stores this specially-shaped egg boiling dish, complete with a handle to remove it from a pan of boiling water. As we take stock of our museum collections following last year’s fire, we’re amazed by some of these snapshots of the past that are coming to light.

Don’t forget, although our museum isn’t currently open, our café is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink and a slice of home-made cake over the Easter holidays! 🍰☕😄
