Can’t quite believe it’s the end of August already! But here we are, bank holiday weekend and of course some showers forecast but today hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as we expected so let’s hope that trend continues over the weekend, still plenty of sunshine on the cards in between the showers.
As usual closed on Sunday, but if you’d like to visit here at the time we are here the other days of the weekend!

Sir Kyffin Williams ‘Cnicht’ original pencil and watercolour. Available to view in the Gallery now and on our website later this week!

A wonderful example of Kyffin’s work in pencil and watercolour, a view he had painted many times, a striking peak in Eryri often nicknamed the ‘Welsh ‘Matterhorn’.
His signature stripped back style but I just love the tree in the lower left corner, it didn’t revel itself to me on first glance but now I can’t stop looking. 😍
I love the simple sky in contrast to the detail on the foreground a well balanced composition.
Beautifully framed and excellent provenance.
