Oriel Davies on TV!

The gallery features in Cartrefi Cymru, an S4C series exploring homes and buildings across Wales, with presenter Aled Samuel and building historian Dr Bethan Scorey uncovering the stories behind its streets, landmarks and hidden gems

Newtown has been showcased, highlighting the town’s distinctive architecture and remarkable past.

Dr Scorey said Newtown’s location and heritage have helped it become a cultural hub in Mid Wales, with institutions like the gallery and Theatre Hafren building on the legacy of the Davies sisters of Gregynog.

Oriel Davies ar y Teledu!

Mae'r oriel yn ymddangos yn Cartrefi Cymru, cyfres S4C sy'n archwilio cartrefi ac adeiladau ledled Cymru, gyda'r cyflwynydd Aled Samuel a'r hanesydd adeiladau Dr Bethan Scorey yn datgelu'r straeon y tu ôl i'w strydoedd, ei thirnodau a'i gemau cudd.

Mae'r Drenewydd wedi cael ei harddangos, gan dynnu sylw at bensaernïaeth nodedig a gorffennol rhyfeddol y dref.

Dywedodd Dr Scorey fod lleoliad a threftadaeth y Drenewydd wedi ei helpu i ddod yn ganolfan ddiwylliannol yng Nghanolbarth Cymru, gyda sefydliadau fel yr oriel a Theatr Hafren yn adeiladu ar etifeddiaeth y chwiorydd Davies o Gregynog.
