Meet Eirinn Hayhow—a sustainable fashion designer, who makes objects and clothing from foraging plants and pigments from nature. Central to her practice is an exploration of the relationships between human and more-than-human bodies through living materials.

As part of our last Turner Lates, Eirinn led a flower guardian-making workshop, where participants were encouraged to see natural materials not simply as resources, but as living collaborators with their own stories, cycles and transformations

As the days grow a little greyer, why not brighten up your outlook by experiencing our David Hockney Sunley Window before it closes in just over two weeks time.

We've loved having the window installed over the summer months—casting colours from Hockney's vibrant palette onto our gallery walls.

Since July, we've also been inviting visitors to leave a reflection or message, dedicated to Hockney's memory and legacy. Here are a few that touched us.

Many happy birthday returns to Rose Wylie OBE RA! 🌹⚽💃

One of Turner Contemporary's Artist Ambassadors, Rose's large-scale paintings are inspired by a wide range of visual culture, referencing cinema, celebrities, literature, and ancient civilisations.

We loved Rose's major exhibition 'The Picture Comes First' earlier this year, and agree with ' Lucy Davies's comment—that 'viewers usually fall for her paintings because they are so full of self and energy, but it is her ability to create collisions between wildly different things that is most remarkable, and most likely to take up permanent residence in your mind'.

Rose lives and works in Kent and exhibited in our Sunley Gallery in 2016.

We're not quite ready to forget our Hulda Guzmán Turner Lates event, which brought together an incredible line-up of guest artists and creatives.

Inspired by Hulda Guzmán's vibrant, dreamlike exhibition, 'Please awake – asked nature kindly', the night featured a beautifully paired back, intimate performance from acclaimed singer-songwriter Yazmin Lacey, a Jung-inspired creative writing workshop with renowned poet Rachel Long, a Flower Guardian making session with sustainable designer Eirinn Hayhow, scent discovery conversations with Robin Bayley, as well as exhibition highlight tours led by our Engagement Assistants.

Delicious, plant-based food by Denai Moore (aka Dee's Table) was served throughout the night, and Margate Radio DJ Reggy Brown kept the good vibes flowing.

How can drawing and rail travel bring you closer to nature?

Back in August, we hosted 'Field Drawing: Travel, Observation and Drawing' as part of our Creative Isle Community Rail Partnership with and .

Led by Margate-based artist Stuart Rayner, this workshop centred on drawing as a tool for close observation, research, and discovery. Participants were invited to connect with the landscape and nature surrounding Thanet Parkway Railway Station through walking, drawing, recording details and conversation.

Together they reflected on the relationship between natural and human-made environments and consider the role public transport plays in creating access to green spaces and new locations.

In Stuart's words, 'It's like taking your pencil for a walk'.

This autumn-focused session will explore change and transition, using the rhythms of the sea and tidal shifts as inspiration, alongside readings, responses to the current exhibition, and guided writing prompts focused on nostalgia, harvesting, and community.

Participants are invited to return across the seasons, gradually building a connection to place and developing a body of writing over time.
