Striking new seascapes now in the gallery from who has recently joined

He has painted local Lymington sea scenes - the salt marshes and Hurst Castle. The setting or rising sun creating the drama. The effect of different brushstrokes and the use of a palette knife is often evident in his paintings, and the looseness of his work translates a mood or feeling.

Do pop into the gallery and see these for yourself the impact of these if you are wanting a statement piece.

More wonderful statement pieces from the brush of

These two paintings were part of the new collection I picked up last week. 'Bluebird' is now in the window and 'Tidal Ways' hanging in the gallery.

As usual Tamara uses beautifully delightful palettes: uplifting, contemporary, and perfectly suited to modern interiors.

Do stop by the gallery this weekend and see them for yourself.

I had a wonderful visit to studio this week. Always a pleasure to see where the magic happens and catch up with Tamara. Ed joined me this time and we collected 6 new pieces. Some of her new pieces are in the window - already stopping people.

I also had to take a picture of Tamara's work bench which is a work of art in itself. All the wonderful colours in there.

Do come and take a look at her new work in the gallery - I will feature on here too!

I am very pleased to welcome new ceramic artist to the gallery. I was drawn to Eddie’s bold shapes and colours as well as unique decoration style.

“My signature style uses torn paper to create jagged-edge shapes with accidental proportions, in coloured clays matt finish clays against the solid black earthenware, white stoneware or terracotta of the pots. I love how these slip shapes have an energy and interact with each other as well as play with the proportion and shape of the vessels.”

This first vessel called ‘Dazzleships Explode’ is making a statement in the gallery window alongside paintings.

Do come and visit the gallery to see Eddie’s new work.

On my morning walk I am very pleased to see the magnolia tree in bud now. We can imagine - through the rain - that spring is on the way.

And it is certainly on the way in the gallery with these wonderful flower paintings by .jcollins - making it a very colourful corner of the gallery.

Kevin paints flowers not just for their colour and form, but for their emotional resonance - memories, meaning, and the quiet joy they bring to our lives.

Do pop into the gallery and see these floral beauties for yourself.

🌊 FEATURED ARTIST - In the Window at Wilverley Gallery: Rachel J Francis Contemporary Artist

A bold shift in colour sweeps across the gallery this week - from lush greens to deep, powerful blues. Our latest window installation celebrates the vibrant and expressive work of contemporary artist Rachel J Francis, whose background in interior design shines through in her confident compositions and striking sense of balance.

Rachel describes her work as “an emotional response to the drama, beauty and rhythms of the landscape around me.” Her paintings are rooted in long-held memories of the places she calls home - familiar paths and fields walked countless times, where a moment of immersion can spark the beginning of a new piece.

Texture is central to her practice. “I especially enjoy creating textures,” she explains, “by building up layers of acrylics and inks, alongside collage and other media such as pencil, charcoal and pastel.”

The result: rich, dynamic surfaces that feel alive with movement, memory and colour.
Come and experience Rachel’s powerful blues and beautifully layered abstractions in the gallery window this week - or step inside for the full collection 💙

Featured Artist: Alison Orchard at Wilverley Gallery.

Our next Featured Artist in the window is the incredibly talented Alison Orchard.

She is a contemporary painter whose bold colour and tactile surfaces bring an immediate energy to the gallery.

I’ve curated a striking arrangement for this week’s window display - artworks that echo the warmth and richness of the forest. They bring an organic, natural feel into the home and pair beautifully with warm, textured interiors.

✨ Alison’s work is expressive, atmospheric and full of movement - the perfect addition to our Featured Artist series.

Pop by the gallery to see these pieces in person, or browse the full selection online via the link in our bio.

As promised, I am showcasing Alison Orchard’s latest new paintings in the gallery: Rewilding and Finding Our Way.

The punchy and vibrant colour palette she uses bounces off the canvas. This is enhanced by the layers of mark making and texture – even stitching into the canvas. These two make a great pair and bring a touch of the forest into your home and suit a warm natural interior.

I have cropped in on the images so you can see a bit more detail and see that layering.
