Andres Castellanos is best known for his urban landscape paintings although he does not like being referred to as a thematic painter. Castellanos tends not to plan ahead when it comes to his next painting. He prefers to wander the streets of the cities he visits until he is struck by the perfect composition, he describes his works are windows into what he sees.

It is broadly accepted wisdom that judging books by their covers is to be avoided if you want to be the kind of person who gets invited to dinner parties. Adages are made to be broken however as firmly demonstrated in the case of Canadian Hyperrealist artist Paul Beliveau; who over the course of his four decades of work has claimed cover jackets as his central muse and model.

His works are monumental in size: each artwork displaying several titanic book spines resting against each other; a glimpse of a giant’s library. Whilst there is a certain quality reminiscent of Pop Art to Beliveau’s approach, the ex*****on is pure Hyperrealism. The books seem to practically curve out of the wall, with each tear in the paper or scuff of flaking leather painted with the kind of depth and clarity that is almost slightly shocking to witness in the flesh.

Javier Banegas creates intimate, close-up still lifes of objects altered by human presence. His work explores the traces of interaction we leave behind: pencil shavings scattered across a surface, paint pots abandoned without their lids and everyday objects caught in a moment of use. Each painting gives the impression that someone, somewhere is not quite finished.

The elegant porcelain apple, created in traditional Delft craftmanship, symbolizes good health and future happiness. In mythology, the apple is associated with Aphrodite, goddess of love.

Tempus Amoris means ‘Time to Love’ in Latin. It symbolizes the magnitude of Love in all its forms—from passion, tenderness, and deep affection, to devotion, attachment, and genuine friendship. This premise stretches beyond humanity to include flora and fauna. There is no Love without kindness.
