Last week, our Support Office came together to support Nepal Flood Relief. ❤️

With many Nepali colleagues as part of the Gold Care Homes team, we wanted to show our support for Nepal and the communities affected by the devastating floods.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised an incredible £1,106, and Gold Care Homes has kindly agreed to match our fundraising, bringing the total to over £2,200 for this important cause!

A huge thank you to everyone who made their own goodies, brought in treats to sell and joined us on the day to show their support. We’re so grateful to everyone who got involved and helped make this fundraiser such a success.

We’re proud to come together as a team to support a cause that means so much to many of our colleagues. 💜

It’s wonderful to see Beachcroft House Care Home celebrating David’s fantastic achievement in the Lord Mayor of Westminster Art Competition 2026! 🎨🥈

David’s artwork, Serenity, was awarded second place, inspired by his love of spending time in the garden and the peace he finds outdoors. It’s lovely to see something so personal recognised in this way.

A huge congratulations to David, and a special mention to Rose and Hemangini for supporting him along the way. What a proud moment for everyone at Beachcroft House!

💜 On Monday, we marked World Alzheimer’s Day, a global moment to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. It’s something that’s close to all of our hearts across Gold Care Homes, and a reminder of the importance of connection, understanding and support.

We’re so proud to share a few lovely ways our homes came together to mark the day:

At St Stephen's Care Home, residents got creative and thoughtful as they took part in the Rainbow4Research art competition, run on behalf of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust🎨

Lucton House Care Home and Manor House Care Home Home also took part in the Birmingham Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer's Society, raising an incredible £1,160 for such an important cause 👏

At Lansdowne Care Home the team were joined by Gold Care Homes’ Head of Dementia and Lifestyle for an insightful talk, giving everyone the chance to learn more and ask questions in an open and supportive space.

At Burrows House, residents spent a meaningful morning together enjoying a relaxed chat and check-in. A simple moment, but one that meant a lot 💜

Amy Woodgate House enjoyed calming arts and crafts sessions, which residents responded to so positively.

At Drayton Village Care Centre, the team explored the five senses through a range of engaging games and sensory activities, creating a really interactive experience for everyone involved.

Every moment, big or small, helps to raise awareness and support those living with dementia 💜

Recently, our care homes have been doing a great deal to support a range of wonderful charities. Giving back is something that truly matters to us, and these are just a few lovely examples from across our homes. ✨

At Peverel Green Care Home, the team hosted a summer fete, raising over £500 for Alzheimer's Society, a cause close to many of our hearts as we support residents living with dementia every day.

Over at Mill House Care Home Witney, a special fundraiser was held for Thames Valley Air Ambulance. The idea came from receptionist Maria, whose granddaughter Rumi has been treated by the service twice. Together, they raised an incredible £517.50.

Kingston Care Home brought everyone together for an open garden fundraiser in support of Princess Alice Hospice, raising over £200 for such a meaningful cause.

Amy Woodgate House has also been busy, marking International Day of Charity with a Breast Cancer Awareness day, as well as taking part in the Kingston Hospital Charity Walk ‘Walk This Way’.

These are just a handful of the many inspiring moments across our homes. With Macmillan Coffee Mornings coming up, teams taking part in Dementia UK’s 30 Miles in September challenge, and the Birmingham Memory Walk in support of , there is so much more to look forward to. 💜
