With plenty of summer sunshine, our homes found ways to enjoy the summer while keeping cool, with ice creams and ice cream van visits proving particularly popular! 🍦

We also put the kettle on for Afternoon Tea Week, enjoyed some well-earned downtime for National Relaxation Day and made the most of the Summer Bank Holiday.

On Friday, our team from across the Gold Care Homes Support Office came together for a well-deserved celebration 💜

Behind our homes is a Support Office Team working across many different areas to support our colleagues and the services they provide every day. While their work isn't always visible on our social channels, Friday was an opportunity to bring everyone together and celebrate the people behind it.

The day began with our annual team awards, proudly voted for by colleagues, creating an opportunity to recognise achievements, commitment and impact across the business. Categories included Manager of the Year, Rising Star and the Chief Executive Award for Excellence, among many more.

Across our homes, we celebrated with tea parties, live music and some baking, with Kingston House adding a fabulous pink theme to their afternoon tea.

Our wonderful residents, families and team at Broxbourne Nursing Home recently came together to celebrate the home's 4th anniversary with a fantastic day of food, music and wonderful company. 😊

The home was also pleased to welcome the Mayor of Broxbourne, Councillor Patsy Spears, along with Councillor George Nicolaou, who helped make the occasion even more special.💜

July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫
