Regret to say that we are not able to re-open just yet. Update as soon as possible.

Also regret that Car Running Day on August Bank Holiday Monday is cancelled this year, and we will not be taking part in September's Heritage Open Days event this year.

We have not been able to arrange an alternative date for the Lincoln Castle Rally and will be in touch with entrants soon.

Our Museum is closed and events suspended until further notice.

On Easter Sunday, we would usually be welcoming 500+ visitors from around the country to the Museum for our Transport Festival event.

We will be back in action as soon as we can and hope you can join us whenever that is.

In the meantime, keep well and stay safe, and have a peaceful Easter.

More about the Museum and our collection on our website www.lvvs.org.uk - and if you would like to make a donation while we are closed, we can accept donations online (link at bottom left of the website home page.)

Hiya, Im hoping somebody will be able to help reconise this bus RR4403 & who operated it? ...Gainsborough To Mansfield via Beckingham, Retford, Ollerton, Edwinstowe, Clipstone.
I posted these photo's I took of 2318 on the In Praise of the Bristol Lodekka page recently, taken at the LVVS open days of November 2017 & 2019. Just thought I'd share them with you.
The 18th May in 1980 was a Sunday and it was the date that I made my first visit to a LVVS Open Day. It was a lovely sunny day and here a few photos that I took that day. I can't believe it was 40 years ago! Where was the associated display of vehicles held? The long distance shot has the car park in the foreground which today would like a classic car rally in its own right! I worked at Leicester City Transport at the time and we took a brand new East Lancs bodied Dennis Dominator. Enjoy! 😀
