Lichfield Branch — firing range operating throughout the weekend.

Come and enjoy the impressive sound and spectacle of the Staffordshire Corps of Drums!
⚔️ 11:30 — British Infantry & Artillery Display
Witness the precision, tactics and firepower of the Crown Forces as they take to the field.
12:30 — American Infantry Display
See the drills, tactics and fighting skills of the Continental Army as they battle for independence.
🥁 13:15 — Staffordshire Corps of Drums 15 August only — in front of the Museum Another chance to enjoy this fantastic musical display!
💥 15:00 — GRAND FINALE!
All Groups Don't miss the spectacular finale to the day's action!
Expect combined volleys, tactical marching and a final ceremonial salute to the fallen.

⚠️ IMPORTANT UPDATE — CANNON FIRING
Unfortunately, there will no longer be a demonstration of the cannon firing. This decision has been made due to dangerously dry ground caused by the unprecedented weather conditions. The safety of our visitors, participants and the site must come first.

Join us on Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 August 2026 for an action-packed weekend commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American War of Independence.
Step back into the 18th century and experience the sights, sounds and atmosphere of the Revolutionary War — with soldiers, camps, weapons, tactics and living history brought vividly to life!

Witness British, American and French forces demonstrate the tactics, discipline and firepower that shaped the Revolutionary War.
🏕️ LIVING HISTORY CAMPS
Explore authentic-style 18th-century camps, meet the reenactors and discover what military life was really like during the period.

Enjoy a special performance on Saturday 15 August.
