Our new exhibition opens in 3 days!

'Chance Encounter' is a unique exhibition of paintings, drawings, and textiles by two artists, Len Green and Jeanette Orrell, who are both originally from Leigh and attendees of Wigan College, and have established international careers.

This is the first time the artists have shown together and is the first time they have met. This chance encounter sets up an intriguing conversation between their work as we welcome them back to Leigh.

'Chance Encounter' will be open 20th April-22nd June 2024, Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm, and Saturday 10am-2pm.

Check out 'Clay Club: The Exhibition' from Everyday Wigan which features ceramic work created over the past year by their Clay Club, each centred on memories of Wigan's past and hopes for the town's future.

This free exhibition will take place on Wednesday 24th April between 11:30am & 4:00pm at Trencherfield Mill in Wigan.

Find out more here: https://tinyurl.com/575ejx9c

You’re invited! Clay Club: The Exhibition is here ✨

We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming show, exhibiting the wonderful ceramic pieces made by participants of our Clay Club! 🎨

Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund Awards For All, our weekly Clay Club sessions have been an opportunity for those experiencing barriers in accessing the arts, to use ceramics as a form of creative expression. Bonded together by each other's shared experiences and acceptance of differences, a true community has been formed with art as a tool for wellness at its centre. 🧑‍🎨

We're excited to share ceramic work created over the past year by our Clay Club with an exhibition at Wigan's old cotton spinning site, Trencherfield Mill. We will be exhibiting pottery pieces made by the whole group, each centred on memories of Wigan's past and hopes for the town's future. If you would like to support the future of Clay Club we will be collecting donations and selling handmade items to ensure the longevity of this creative community.

The exhibition will take place on Wednesday 24th April between 11:30am & 4:00pm at Trencherfield Mill in Wigan. 🏭

You DO NOT need to book a ticket to gain access to the exhibition, we are running on a FREE, drop-in basis, just turn up! ✨
