The Printworks refurbishment is coming along very nicely indeed!

Great thanks to David Calder and his army of hard working people including Pwi plastering, Rodney from Thomson and Dunbar, Tom Mclaclan Painters, Iain Hall Plumbing and Heating, and Ronnie from Deeside DIY Supplies.

David has project managed the whole process and made everything come together so very well. 👏

We're nearly there aside from lots and lots of cleaning and restoring everything that got damaged during the flood. 😁 We're hoping to be open again by the end of June.

We are now members of the "Association of Independent Museums (AIM)". An organisation that I've been involved with in the past when I did my masters in Museum Studies.

I've been a fan of their "Hallmarks" framework for many years which gives some great guidance on best practice for small independent museums.

All of our prints are made with A.I. (that's Antique Ink).

I don't generally buy any new inks. Sometimes it's skinned over, sometimes dried up but even the worst of it can be ground down and reconstituted. 😊

Here's some of the wonderful patterns I find when opening an old can of ink...
