Wonderful to see Danni Bradford featured in the latest issue of Devon Life! 🦋✨

The article explores Danni’s beautiful contemporary work and the centuries-old art of verre églomisé - a specialist form of reverse glass gilding now listed as a critically endangered craft by Heritage Crafts.

The magnificent ‘Kaleidoscope of Monarchs’ Danni is holding in the photograph was recently sold through Echo Beach Gallery and has now flown off to its new home! ❤️🦋

We are very lucky to currently have Danni’s stunning ‘Kaleidoscope of Blue Butterflies’ here at the gallery for visitors to see in person. 💙

There’s something rather special about our old harbour towns… ⚓️💙

Wonky rooftops, weathered walls, little boats tucked along the quay; all brought together with Dale Bowen’s wonderfully distinctive touch. 🎨

**Quayside** is from Dale’s Salt & Stone Collection and is packed with texture, character and all those little imperfections that make our coastal harbours so charming.

One you can keep discovering something new in. 😊

New to Echo Beach Gallery 🦋

Kaleidoscope of Blue Butterflies by award-winning North Devon glass artist Danni Bradford.

A mesmerising gathering of richly detailed blue butterflies, created through Danni’s distinctive technique of reverse painting and gilding on glass.

Layered across two glass panels, the butterflies cast delicate shadows while the silver leaf catches and reflects the light. As you move around the artwork, its colours, depth and reflections subtly change, giving this beautiful statement piece an ever-changing presence.

Colour, wind and wild water ⛵🌊

A fleet of vibrant sails surges forward through the swell in this wonderfully energetic original painting by Dale Bowen.

‘Swell and Sail’ is alive with movement—from the rolling sea and bursts of white spray to those tall, brilliantly coloured sails. The warm gold frame completes the piece beautifully, making the blues, oranges and yellows sing.

Now available from Echo Beach Gallery.

One of the standout pieces from Roger Cockram’s final collection. ✨

Watery patterns ripple across the surface, creating a wonderful sense of movement, while hints of gold glint in the light like sunshine dancing on the water.

It seems to change as you move around it, and is even more striking in person.

Available at Echo Beach Gallery. Please send us a message for further details.

Porcelain form and a little touch of gold ✨

I have always loved Roger Cockram’s bottle forms, and these two were among the pieces I selected during my final visit to his studio.

Thrown on the wheel in porcelain, their beautifully contrasting shapes are brought together by flowing layers of blue, deep red and turquoise glaze. Small touches of gold lustre catch the light across their surfaces, just as they did on Roger’s beautiful Moon Bowl.

Two rather special pieces from Roger’s final collection, now at Echo Beach Gallery. 💙

Which shape catches your eye, the wonderfully rounded bottle or the tall, elegant form?

✨ One of the beautiful pieces from Roger Cockram's final collection. 🤍

This porcelain Moon Bowl with 24ct gold lustre was inspired by a quiet moment on Baggy Point, Croyde. Roger described watching the sun emerge from behind a bank of cloud, its light suddenly dancing across the sea. 🌊✨

The sweeping gold echoes those reflections, while the flowing turquoise glazes and deep seaweed tones capture the movement and colours of the North Devon coast.

It was actually the very first piece I was drawn to on my final visit to Roger's studio. He had held a closing weekend, and hundreds of people had visited. Thankfully, he'd quietly saved a selection of pieces for Echo Beach Gallery.

As I walked onto the gallery floor, I went straight to this bowl. Roger smiled, gently cupped it in his hands and shared the story behind it. Somehow, knowing that story makes it even more special.

Every piece tells a story. 💙

We'll be sharing more over the coming days. 😊

If you'd like to know more, send us a message or pop into the gallery to see this and the other beautiful pieces from Roger's final collection.
