Help us decorate Lowewood Museum for Christmas!

Our Woolly Crafters are making a colorful knitted and crocheted garland, and we’d love you to join in!

Knit or crochet coloured strips approximately 3cm x 20cm at home, or join our friendly Woolly Crafters group on alternate Tuesdays, 2–4pm*.

Please bring your finished strips to the museum by Saturday 14 November 2026.

Behind the Seams REOPENS!!!!

We are excited to let you know that our downstairs gallery and reception are now up and running! Due to a necessary closure period of the exhibition earlier in the year we will be reopening Behind The Seams until Christmas.

We look forward to welcoming you Fridays and Saturdays 10-4.30.

Join us at Lowewood Museum to look through a selection of our extensive photograph collection and help us choose the images that will feature in a new exhibition in the museum’s cafe.

Thank you to all who came to Lowewood Museum's summer events - a lot of (too much) sun and a lot of fun with The Listen Inn, Splats Entertainment and Hoddesdon Model & Railway Club.

We have more kids' activity days 29-30 October, and we're still open Fridays and Saturdays as usual. Hope to see you back at Lowewood soon...

Drop in to Lowewood Museum anytime today, up to 3pm for our Cicus Skills Day.

Stilts, balancing and more in the garden, craft inside and have your face painted (if you like!). We are serving tea, coffee, cakes and soft drinks in the cafe as usual.

The Greatest Showman is unable to attend our Circus Skills funday at Lowewood Museum tomorrow, Wednesday 26th August between 10.30 and 3.00pm. However, he has asked me to stand in for him as master of ceremonies. I will do my best as we welcome Splats Entertainment to the museum, so do come along and have a go at trying some circus skills, as well as enjoying the crafting activities.
