Summer is almost over… which means it’s time to get creative again. 🎨

This September, Create: Home Education is changing.

I wanted to create something more than a weekly art activity — a structured creative programme for young people who genuinely enjoy art, want to learn new skills and, most importantly, want the freedom to experiment and develop their own style.

Introducing…

PROJECT 001: URBAN IDENTITY

A 5-week creative programme for home-educated young people aged 10–16.

Across five Wednesday mornings, we’ll explore:

🔤 Creating your own alphabet and lettering style
✏️ Original character design
🔥 Tags, throw-ups, pieces & wildstyle
✂️ Stencil design and stencil art
🎨 Bringing everything together on your own Urban Identity canvas

There’s no finished artwork to copy and no pressure to make something “perfect”.

We’ll learn the rules, experiment with them, break them and see what happens.

📅 Wednesdays, 9:30–11:00am
📍 The Studio
👤 Ages 10–16
🎟️ Maximum 8 places
💷 £75 for all five sessions

Everyone joining the full project will also receive a FREE sketchbook to keep exploring, drawing and developing ideas between sessions.

Learn. Experiment. Break the rules. Create.

Project 001 starts Wednesday 16 September.

Looking for something a little different for date night?

Next Friday (10th July) I’ll be hosting my Urban Art Date Night at The Studio , and I only have space left for 3 more couples.

You’ll choose and personalise a stencil design, cut your own stencil, then learn spray painting techniques to create your own urban art canvas masterpiece to take home.

No experience needed, all materials and PPE are provided, and it’s completely BYOB, so bring your favourite drink and enjoy a relaxed, creative evening together.

☀️ Summer of Spray is running throughout July and August, with a range of spray painting and stencil workshops for adults. Morning everyone 👋

Just a quick update from The Studio .

The studio will be closed for the next couple of weeks while I’m out working on various community projects, murals and commissions. The plan is to reopen from the week commencing 29th June.

I’m also booked up for the next few Saturdays, so the studio will be closed on Saturdays until 18th July. Unfortunately, this means there will be no Doodle Club sessions between now and then.

I’ve also decided to pause my Home Education classes for the remainder of this school year. They’ll return with a fresh start in the new school year from September.

Although the studio won’t be open as normal, I’ll still be in and out regularly. If you need spray paint, lino supplies, art materials or anything else, just send me a message and we can arrange a time for you to pop in.

The good news is that the Summer of Spray adult workshops are still running throughout July and August, including stencil and spray painting sessions. You can book your place through the website.

If you happen to see me in the studio while you’re passing, feel free to pop in and say hello!
