Our museum houses 14 rooms of artefacts, exhibitions and information which displays the social and military history of this popular seaside resort. Even the building is of historical interest as it was once a submarine mi

Their expertise is second to none and is always delivered with enthusiasm and a passion for history. Our collections are regularly updated and there are new exhibitions each season to enjoy. Exhibitions will be previewed on our website, so check back regularly for updates on what's new. We are located at Landguard Point, adjacent to the Harbour Viewing Area where there is ample parking (only £1.50 for 2 hours). The scheduled hourly Number 77 bus service from Ipswich via Felixstowe to Landguard will deliver you to our gates. You can also reach us by the foot ferry from Harwich and Shotley.

The day honours the brave men and women who served in the Merchant Navy during both World Wars and recognizes modern-day seafarers
