Ealing Flower Club Monthly meetings with Facebook information upgraded on a regular basis Free street parking and on main bus routes.

Ealing Flower Club meets at St Barnabas Church, Pitshanger Lane, Ealing, W5 1QG to enjoy floral art demonstrations, occasional workshops and competitions, every third Wednesday of the month, except December (it's the first Wednesday this year) 7.15pm for 7.30pm.

What a buzzing evening we had!

We kicked off with Nasreen and Carol demonstrating four creative ways to arrange with supermarket flowers, giving two of our members fantastic hands-on experience demonstrating in front of an audience.

In the second half of the evening, we were introduced to the Sogetsu school of Ikebana, courtesy of Scarlet from .artlab .

Working in teams, we all had the chance to dive into the geometry and math behind this wonderful art form—a brilliant exercise in learning and team bonding!

If you’ve been following along over the past few weeks, we’ve shared photos and write-ups for all 33 arrangements from our Cinema in Bloom Flower Festival.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this year’s Cinema in Bloom festival such a welcoming event! 🌸🎬

Our team set a fantastic tone right from the entrance, where Nicole’s fun display for The Rainbow Jacket (1954) greeted guests as they arrived.

Inside St Barnabas Church, elegant pedestals framed the main aisle and sanctuary, giving visitors a clear, beautiful path through the displays.

Beyond the flower arrangements, the team created a warm, relaxed space for people to sit down, enjoy a tea, and chat.

Thank you to all the volunteers and organizers from Ealing Flower Club , St Barnabas Church, Ealing and Pitshanger Pictures, who gave their time and effort to bring the community together and make the weekend run so smoothly! 💐

Thank you to Biddy Lall (Biddy Lall) for this clever tribute to the George Formby classic Feather Your Nest (1937)!

Standing alongside a street lamp in a nod to Formby’s signature song “Leaning on a Lamp-post”, Biddy used clever leaf manipulation and plant materials to build the centerpiece. She expertly looped, bent, and woven long foliage into a tall lattice structure that forms the main nest.

Tucked into the woven column are tiny twig bird nests, complete with eggs and a bluebird perched up top. Grounded by a cluster of vibrant orange roses and purple blooms, it’s a lovely blend of skillful technique and 1930s cinematic nostalgia!
