It was a beautiful 'Bubbles and Squeaks' River Parade on Saturday, by the Cerne chalk stream. A great turnout from the schools involved, with friends, families and lots of great volunteers supporting. Well done to all the artists, Holly Miller, Sarah Butterworth, Ben Piper, Thomas Hughes, Savannah Endean, Flo Mccarthy, Phoebe Peel, and all the children that made amazing river creatures. Looking forward to the 17th Oct when all the creatures will be illuminated. Www.emeraldant.com/bubbles-and-squeaks

Children found crayfish in the rivers Hooke and Mangerton, (sadly not the indigenous white clawed ones). Year 6 at Greenford Primary then helped make two 2m long crayfish, here's the white clawed one...

Come and see both for real in Cerne Abbas next Saturday at our Grand River Parade! www.emeraldant.com/bubbles-and-squeaks

Here’s Flo, one of Emerald Ant’s creative young artists, telling us about her ‘Big Build’ for the Bubbles and Squeaks project, representing all the negative things humans bring to rivers to be paraded at riverside events on 26 September at Cerne Abbas and 17 October at Powerstock
