⛏️ The Kent Miners’ Festival is heading to Aylesham!

We’re very pleased to share that Aylesham Community Trust and Aylesham Heritage Centre will be taking the Kent Miners’ Festival forward in 2027. Last week Stacy (Kent Mining Museum) handed over the official festival lamp to Emily from Aylesham Community Trust and members of the Aylesham Heritage Centre.

It feels particularly fitting to see the festival continue and grow at the heart of one of Kent’s mining communities, where the county’s mining heritage remains such an important part of local identity.

We’re incredibly proud of the festival and all the people who have supported, contributed to and celebrated with us along the way.

We’re excited to see the next chapter unfold in Aylesham and look forward to seeing the festival continue to celebrate Kent’s mining heritage, its communities and its stories in 2027.
