LOCAL HISTORY – INDUSTRIAL ESTATE:

During the early 1990s Sensotemp Ltd, Dasset Engineering, and Peter Thompson Motorsport, all had a presence on Woodford Halse’s industrial estate.

Figure in St Mary’s Church, thought to be of Matilda de Holland (also known as Maud Holland), who was the Lady of the Manor of Woodford and Farndon during the 14th century.

An estate of twelve council-owned bungalows adjoining Station Court was built in 1990.
