If you have visited recently you may have noticed Norcliff has not been out pulling trains recently.
The petrol engines that drive our locos are air cooled and what do we do? We put them in a big metal box.
To help keep the engine cool we have a fan but we are now putting large grills on either side of Norcliff's engine to provide a much bigger flow of air to cool the engine.
And in addition Norcliff has got a brand new petrol engine to drive the hydraulics that powers the locomotive.
We hope to get the new engine fitted this weekend and then we can get Norcliff out and undertake testing before allowing her to pull our trains.

It is Krazy Race time again. Please note Crewe Heritage Centre is CLOSED Sunday 24th May 2026 as we are takling part in the Krazy Races - see more here - https://www.krazyraces.co.uk/crewe-krazy-races/ come along and support us.
We are racing out Inter-City 12.5 again to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the High Speed Train (HST).
A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast will take to the skies above Crewe, bringing a truly iconic moment of British aviation history to the event.
Alongside this, visitors will also be able to enjoy a stunning classic car showcase featuring around 40 vintage vehicles from Italian AutoMoto Club, adding a nostalgic celebration of automotive heritage.

As part of the greening initiative on the Crewe Heritage Centre Miniature Railway at Crewe Heritage Centre we have had a new gnome take up residence.

For the 2026 season we have souvenir tickets for the kids when they ride the Crewe Heritage Centre Miniature Railway . Visit us on a weekend or bank holiday when kids go free for entry to the centre. And look at the punch out. How cool is that.

Out with the old and in with the new! Ready for the start of our 2026 season we have a new shed for storing some of our rolling stock up at Spider Bridge. We are looking at "Spider Shed" as the name of our new building.
