The Art Hound Gallery

The Art Hound Gallery The Art Hound Gallery is Cambridge's premier Modern & Contemporary Art gallery and a unique urban ar We can also source work on request.

Established in 2012 on the King's Road, London, we began dealing art to the trade and the public, exhibiting at the UK and London's top art fairs and shows, as well as curating the collections of its celebrity clients. Now based in Cambridgeshire, the Gallery itself is an unexpected intimate gallery space filled with works by some of the biggest names in Modern and Contemporary British and Interna

tional art, as well as the fast rising stars of the current art scene. The Gallery specialises in Pop Art and its contemporary legacy, but also houses a huge varied collection of works for sale from 1910 to the present encompassing all major Modern Art movements. We are proud to champion the process of original print-making and have close connections to some of the UK's master printmakers, as well as representing some of the most exciting emerging artists working in experimental print techniques today. Our expert team hand pick each and every work on sale and are always on hand to discuss questions on investment, collections, artistic process and framing - and promise no pretentious answers. We believe it is vital every client knows exactly what they are buying, so we love to chat about how the work was made and the history of and cultural significance of each and every piece. The Gallery specialises in its 'Art Hound At Home' service, which allows clients to view works custom selected for them in the gallery or in the comfort of their own home. We believe a great art work is only enhanced by a great frame, and that framing is a vital part of the art buying experience. The Art Hound framing service is totally bespoke, focused on quality and value, and as conservative or as experimental as the art work itself. The Gallery is situated in the heart of Cambridgeshire, but you’ll also be able to find The Art Hound at art fairs across the UK and at various pop up events. The Gallery itself holds regular special events and private views. Make sure you are on our mailing list for invites!

NEW RELEASE for our 90s show currently running - a tribute to the one and only Richey Edwards - ‘From Despair to Where’ by the fantastic You Killed Me First. It’s an original 1/1 collage on board and is even more hauntingly beautiful in person with hidden layers and textures. The Manics were never the same for me after Richey’s disappearance, the glam faded hard, and the newspaper image of his abandoned car had a big impact on me. This piece shows all the sides of Richey and is an amazing tribute to his legacy - we love the fact that only a true fan like You Killed Me First can create a piece that captures his whole story. Favourite Manics song - anything from Generation Terrorists, but little baby nothing will always be up there. Piece is in the gallery and online - DM us for the details, ship worldwide

One of the absolute highlight of our new 1990’s exhibition Burwash Manor • Cafe • Shops has to be the exclusive new Daft Punk “Robot Love” original artworks by Mark Petty. These are incredibly intricate hand crafted pieces made on glass with multiple layers of gold gilding. Only 2 of each piece are made, with the first new pink version already sold on day one and the first 2 colours sold out.
There’s also some punchy miniature “grab a groove” works if you’re after something smaller scale, featuring iconic dance tracks of the era, inspired by Mark’s own hedonistic raving youth from Ibiza to Brixton.
Grab one at the gallery in person this weekend or on our website while you can folks. .

Next up on our 90’s show focus has to be , seeing as we’ve just had the first anniversary of his passing. This original screenprint by Barry D Bulsara is the first of his 90s series for us and celebrates the Ozzy image that the 90’s created and stayed with us to the end. The 90’s saw some big hits for solo Ozzy and solid MTV play (that’s why No More Tears will always be one of our top tunes!), as well as the creation of Ozzfest and a Black Sabbath reunion to boot. Various tv appearances focused on family would eventually give us the Osbournes in the next decade! I was lucky enough to see him in 1995 at Brixton Academy, (back after he announced his retirement in 92!) and my memory of it is that the set list of solo and Sabbath songs was just absolute perfection! This hand pulled screenprint is a limited edition of just 50, and it’s already been quickly snapped up by our collectors. Under £100 and free shipping? DM us or get on the website!

Continuing her tribute to the club scene this artwork is the companion piece to the bucket hat by limited to 11 pieces and available in matching custom frames. The work is inspired by Claire’s joyful memories coming of age in the Manchester club scene as a fashion student at Manchester Met in 1990.
In Claire’s words: “This piece is a tribute to a time when Manchester breathed music… the weight of lilac kickers on the dancefloor..: it is a captured heartbeat of a legendary decade”. (Turn the music 🎵 on)
Absolutely mint.

Who remembers the days of , the and Baggy? has created her ‘Manchester from head to toe’ limited edition screenprints as a celebration of this iconic time and her days in it! It begins with a staple that’s seen its way back into fashion - the . As with all the work by Claire Wyldheart, this series is as hand created as it gets with personal objects, memories and a fully created from scratch process, resulting in a beautiful hand pulled edition of just 11. There’s matching kickers boots, but for today, we’re starting with the headwear.
It’s in our show at the gallery Burwash Manor • Cafe • Shops or check it out on our website - shipping worldwide.
Claire says -
This screen print explores the essential uniform of the rave revolution, a style that seamlessly blended casual sportswear with the euphoric spirit of Acid House. It serves as a visual homage to the legacy of Tony Wilson and Factory Records, capturing the spirit of the “cathedral of dance music.” Through bold, screen-printed images, this work celebrates the intersection of fashion and sound, offering collectors a nostalgic window into the era when style and subculture became one.
