I wonder why no representative of the Hurst family, who gave the land, were present. Also Burford Parish Council not mentioned. Strange!!

Undated but probably early 20th century. I think it was one of the Royal Hunting Lodges which is why King John and probably Elizabeth 1st and Charles II.stayed there. I also have it in my mind that the Dunsdon brothers may have used it.
