Our Autumn exhibition is coming soon! Rhyme & Reason opens on the 25th September and is free to enter.

Discover the influence of stories and poetry on artists in this new exhibition drawn from the internationally renowned Cecil Higgins Art Gallery Collection. Greek myths and Shakespearian stories, Arthurian legends and poetry will all be explored in the works of artists such as Thomas Gainsborough, Paula Rego, Henry Moore, Ceri Richards and Henri Matisse.

Friday 7 August is a Puggle day at The Higgins Bedford . Puggle is full of sensory, creative play activites and we enjoy a story too! We look forward to welcoming you and your children from 10.30am - midday or 1 - 2.30pm. Holiday Puggle Clubs are super special as older siblings are welcome along too. Puggle Club is a free drop in, so no need to book. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join author and curator of George, A Windrush Boy display at The Higgins this morning Thursday 23 July 11.30am until 1pm for a drop-in meet the author event. Gilroy Gregory will be in the dressing room of the Higgins doing some readings from his book George (the teenage years), signing copies and sharing more about the objects on display. We look forward to seeing you - future dates on the website.

Such a love day delivering medieval craft with Atiya Vohra. Particular favourites were the clay pot and shield making! Thank you to all who came along. We have a free, clay tile workshop on 1 August as part of the Archaeology Festival and another craft drop in on 4 August. See website for details, link in comments.
