We say goodbye to Travel Photographer of the Year this weekend. This beautiful exhibition takes you round the globe with phenomenal images from some of the most talented photographers working in the field today.

Our Reminiscence Team are leading an accessible walk around Bridge Street on Thursday 10th July. This is a chance to share memories and history about shops, local businesses and transport from the past.

This is a relaxed session, with an accessible route.

Summer Lecture 2025
Archaeological Discoveries at Broughton Castle.
Saturday 19th July
7-8.30pm (Grounds open form 5pm for picnics)

This summer's fundraiser supporting The Rotary Club of Banbury Cherwell and Banbury Museum & Gallery.

Our lecture for the evening will be presented by Keith Westcott who will be talking about some of the archaeological discoveries, and their context, that he has made at Broughton, stretching back to Roman times. Keith is a member of TV’s Time Team, and is a respected detectorist, historian and archaeologist.

Broughton Castle and the Fiennes family have generously opened their grounds to us before the talk so we can picnic and enjoy the historic ambiance of the castle gardens.

People's Vote-Travel Photographer of the Year 2024

We have been asking all our visitors to our exhibition Travel Photographer of The Year 2024, to vote for their favourite image in the exhibition.

The votes have been cast, counted and the result was very close with a whole range of images in contention but by a whisker the winner is this stunning shot by photographer Roie Galitz and his this image from Svalbard in the Arctic Ocean and the winner of the Plant Earth- Landscapes, Climate & Water category.
