Old Courthouse Gallery We are a family-run gallery in Ambleisde, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park. Our team look forward to welcoming you!

We display a wide range of unique, high-quality art and crafts created by artist from Cumbria and across the UK. Our gallery is in the light and airy space of Ambleside's historic courthouse building, where you can take your time to browse and buy our artworks in peaceful surroundings. We feature a wide range of original wall art from paintings & drawings to textiles & linocuts. We also display fine wood craft & furniture, glass and sculptures in bronze & ceramic. Our jewellery section includes collections that are both beautiful and very wearable. We like to ensure that there is always a wide variety of high quality pieces at a range of prices on display. So, whether you’re a serious collector or just looking for an ideal gift or a memento of your visit you’re always welcome to pop in for a browse. Our friendly team will be happy to help!

After few very busy weeks in the gallery involving looking after our lovely visitors, artists and new art collections I finały managed to change our windows. Two very different looks, colourful display includes new collection of glass by Adam Arronson and ceramic sculptures by Lucy Wright the other much more monochrome features ceramics by Paddy Hartley, paintings by Mark Brierley, bronze owl by David Meredith, Tim Atkinson’s table, wooden bowls by John Shorrock and wire Lapwings by Stephanie Smith. We're very excited to be taking part in this brand-new Art Fair, featuring over 60 artists, galleries, and collectives from across Cumbria and the north-west. We'll be at Stand 47, where we'll be displaying pieces in a variety of media that we've specially selected for the fair from our extensive collections. The exhibition opens at 4pm on Friday, 9th October, and closes at 4pm on Sunday, 11th. It promises to be a great event; you can find out lots more information by scanning the QR code. Hopefully, see you there.
