Our gallery is in the light and airy space of Ambleside's historic courthouse building, where you can take your time to browse and buy our artworks in peaceful surroundings. We feature a wide range of original wall art from paintings & drawings to textiles & linocuts. We also display fi

ne wood craft & furniture, glass and sculptures in bronze & ceramic. Our jewellery section includes collections that are both beautiful and very wearable. We like to ensure that there is always a wide variety of high quality pieces at a range of prices on display. My name is Gosia, I have been working at the Old Courthouse Gallery for nearly 20 years. I am currently on holidays as you can see from the second picture with my son trying to do haka 😂 but prior to my holidays I spend a great time displaying all the fantastic new artwork which arrived recently so if you are visiting Ambleside this week you will not meet me but you will be able to admire how beautiful our gallery looks. With a great pleasure we can now reveal the Winner Of The Award for Landscape or Nature at the Lake Artists Society Summer Exhibition which for the first time was sponsored by The Old Courthouse Gallery was awarded to Vivienne Pooley. We are honoured to be part of Lake District art community.
