Presented by Arts AlUla and AFALULA, Under the Aegis of the Moon by artist Han Mengyun intertwined poetry, video, and movement to evoke the quiet majesty of the lunar cycle.

Curated by Arnaud Morand , the work was structured around a series of poems that echoed the slow rhythm of the AlUla palm groves, transforming the night into a space of reflection and revelation.
The performance, featuring Han Mengyun and Reem Ali Bakhyer, was rooted in Mengyun's research residency in AlUla. Drawing inspiration from the desert’s vastness, the piece foregrounded poetic expression as an act requiring presence and vulnerability.

The performative installation functioned as a cultivation of inner climates, tending to perception as a way of hosting new forms of knowing under the moon’s light.

🌱 For the 11th edition of Asia NOW, Sabrina Amrani (Madrid) presented a curated dialogue featuring Mana AlDowayan, :mentalKLINIK, Waqas Khan, Timo Nasseri, Jong Oh, and Wardha Shabbir.

Central to the showcase was the work of Manal AlDowayan, whose practice anchored the booth through an exploration of memory and visibility. By recovering the collective voices of Saudi women, AlDowayan’s multidisciplinary works, spanning photography, sculpture, and sound, interrogated gendered customs and documented the rapid metamorphosis of Saudi society.
Her presence at the fair offered a space where the personal and political converged, through the intimate narratives of her heritage.

Presented by Arts & Ideas, an initiative of the Saudi Visual Arts Commission , Ahaad Alamoudi’s Ghosts of Today and Tomorrow unfolded as a recurring activation throughout the fair’s 11th edition. Curated by Arnaud Morand, the performative installation transformed the historic Monnaie de Paris into a space of sensorial disruption, exploring the delicate tension between ancestral heritage and contemporary transformation.
At the heart of the work, a traditional pigeon tower served as a stage for Majes performers, whose voices acted as the primary catalysts for the piece. Engaging sound and light as vectors of memory, the installation turned fleeting vocalizations into luminous dialogues:

Traversing video, performance, and installation, Alamoudi drew on ethnographic research and vernacular digital forms to reanimate familiar symbols (folk rhythms, ritual gestures, and cultural icons) reframing them within multilayered narratives. Ghosts of Today and Tomorrow stood as a poignant reflection on Saudi Arabia’s evolving identity, questioning how culture is continually reimagined through the vessels of light and sound.

As we step into a new season, we come together as a community, holding space for renewal and the hope of new beginnings amidst the face of challenging times.

Today, we reflect on our 11th edition with gratitude, carrying forward the energy, the questions, and the ideas that lingered, as we begin to imagine what lies ahead.

We hope the upcoming season brings us space for peace and moments to breathe. As we prepare for our 12th edition this October, we move forward with hope and intention, embracing what comes next.
