DOPE! Gallery : urban art, contemporary art, editions and prints La plupart des artistes vivants que nous présentons sont nés dans les années 80.

Gallery has been launched in April 2014 with the goal of building a young and fresh gallery that could work between London and Paris, the two capitals of contemporary art in Europe. Gallery is here to offer as much support as possible to a group of young, talented and emerging artists whose work we love and who show real promise of a great career. Gallery supports these artist via our website (http://dope.gallery) but also through fairs, events and in the streets when it’s come to urban art.

DOPE! Gallery est née en avril 2014 avec le souhait de proposer une nouvelle génération d'artistes aux collectionneurs d'art à Londres et en France. Pourtant tous ont été remarqués il y a déjà plusieurs années, ont été exposés en France et à l'étranger et la plupart ont même collaborés avec de nombreuses marques réputées que ce soit dans le luxe ou dans la mode. Nous les soutenons et continuerons à les soutenir, à travers différents shows, foires, éditions, collaboration, et également sur internet via notre site.

Today, we remember Yayoi Kusama: an artist of extraordinary imagination, discipline, and courage.

Across more than seven decades, Kusama made a universe from repetition using dots, nets, pumpkins, mirrors, colour, and light. Her work invited us to look beyond the individual self and into a world at once intimate, disorienting, joyful, and infinite.

We are especially grateful to live with works by Kusama in our collection: editions in sculpture and print that carry her singular visual language into everyday space. They are not simply objects of beauty, but enduring expressions of a practice that transformed inner vision into a shared experience.

Kusama once wrote: “No matter how I may suffer for my art, I will have no regrets.” It is a statement of the remarkable resolve that animated her life’s work and of the generosity with which she turned a singular vision into a world shared by millions.

Before the chrome robots, there was the pin-up.

This selection of works by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama brings together women, aircraft and fantasy in his unmistakably seductive, hyper-detailed style.

Aircraft become extensions of the female form; machines become objects of desire; and the traditional pin-up is transformed into something distinctly Sorayama: futuristic, erotic and endlessly cinematic.

A glimpse into one of the recurring obsessions of an artist who has spent decades exploring the relationship between the human body, machines and fantasy.
