For 30 years, the infinite complexity of human relationships has been her constant source of inspiration whether in the context of love, friendship, family, or society.
Moving between the micro and the macro, between jewelry and sculpture, every perspective becomes a vehicle for creativity. Her insatiable curiosity about techniques and her dexterity in working with all metals, glass, stones, leather, wood and words enable her to give tangible form to her perception of life and humanity through bold colors and fluid, powerful shapes.

Depuis 30 ans, la complexité infinie des relations humaines est une source d’inspiration, tant sous leurs aspects amoureux, amicaux, familiaux que sociaux.
Entre micro et macro, bijou et sculpture, chaque angle de vue devient un vecteur de créativité. Son insatiable curiosité des techniques et sa dextérité à travailler tous les métaux, le verre, les pierres, le cuir, le bois ainsi que les mots lui permettent de matérialiser sa perception de la
vie avec des couleurs fortes et des formes fluides et puissantes.

Niki Stylianou, born in Athens, Greece, studied Architecture-Engineering and completed her postgraduate studies at the
Royal College of Art in London (MA 1994, MPhil 1998).
She is currently an Artist, Curator, and Creativity Coach/Mentor.
She has taught and collaborated with contemporary artists while developing her own jewelry collections that explore themes of space-time, value, usability, and sustainability.
In 2020, Niki established the Uni.Versus Art Room, a gallery dedicated to interdisciplinary art exhibitions.

Architecte de formation, diplômée de philosophie, Niki Stylianou est aujourd’hui artiste, commissaire d’exposition et coach/mentor en créativité.
Elle enseigne et collabore avec des artistes contemporains tout en développant ses propres collections de bijoux qui explorent les thèmes de l’espace-temps, de la valeur, de la fonctionnalité et de la durabilité.
En 2020, Niki a fondé Uni.Versus Art Room, à Athènes, une galerie dédiée aux expositions artistiques interdisciplinaires et aux séminaires.

A “bocfil” saw, files and a soldering torch are her main tools. The play of light on silver and gold is the essential element in her work.
Often the textured metal forms are juxtaposed and superimposed, the shapes let the light and shadows animate the piece, a three dimensional volume comes to life.
Sometimes the color of a precious stone underlines the composition, always resulting in an elegant and wearable piece.

Ses outils se limitent à la scie de joaillier, aux limes et au chalumeau.
Les bijoux de Suzanne Otwell-N***e sont des pièces uniques inspirées de l’architecture et de la nature, offrant de nombreuses textures, superpositions graphiques dans lesquelles des plaques d’argent et d’or s’imbriquent et s’animent dans la lumière. Parfois la couleur d’une pierre intègre la composition graphique, éclairant le bijou qui demeure élégant et portable.

“Frequently, and as if out of necessity, in my works, dark elements coexist alongside a brighter side.
For this exhibition, I have also explored the digital technologies that are supposed to protect us but
which strike me as diabolical. So, I decided to subvert my worst enemy, the CAPTCHA, to make it purely graphic.”
‘Will you click on the leaves? The lines? Or the gold?’

« Fréquemment et comme par nécessité, dans mes pièces, les éléments sombres côtoient une partie lumineuse. Pour cette exposition, j’ai également exploré les technologies numériques sensées nous protéger et qui m’apparaissent démoniaques. Ainsi, j’ai décidé de détourner mon ennemi le CAPTCHA pour le rendre purement graphique. Cliquerez-vous sur les feuilles ? Les lignes ? Ou l’or ? »

‘I have always found my expression through materials. For this exhibition, I have chosen to create amulets and talismans. I contrast dark or raw materials with precious, glittering or richly coloured ones to evoke the collision between the world of darkness and that of angels. Rough titanium suggests trials and tribulations, silver and gold symbolise nobility, and red, vitality…

« Mon univers s’est toujours exprimé par le biais des matières. Pour cette exposition, j’ai choisi de créer des amulettes et des talismans protecteurs. J’oppose, de façon picturale, matières sombres ou brutes aux matières précieuses, brillantes ou colorées pour évoquer la collision du monde des ténèbres avec celui des anges. Le titane brut suggère les épreuves, l’argent et
l’or symbolisent la noblesse, le rouge, la vitalité…

Anne Milbeau est un des 10 créateurs de l’exposition

Trained in music, the plastic arts before falling for jewellery, Anne Milbeau works like a poet at their desk in search of the perfect word. She is a jeweller constantly seeking simplicity,
balance and meaning.
Her jewellery evokes her story or our own. It acts as a bridge and touches us. The materials are revealed through understated lines, clear, taut curves and balanced proportions…

Formée d’abord à la musique et aux arts plastiques avant de venir au bijou, Anne Milbeau travaille comme une poétesse à sa table en quête du mot juste. Elle est une bijoutière en recherche constante d’épure, d’équilibre et de sens.
Ses bijoux évoquent son histoire ou la nôtre. Ils sont des médiateurs et nous touchent. La matière s’y révèle par des lignes sobres, des courbes claires et tendues…

Le mot foyer revêt deux sens en français. Le premier est le feu autour duquel on se rassemble, et qui est devenu une métonymie pour le lieu où l’on (co) habite, le second est le cœur d’un incendie, son point de départ, généralement utilisé dans le cas d’un incendie dévastateur....
Dans sa série « Foyer », Anne Milbeau explore cette dualité par le biais des espaces et des matériaux.
« Au dedans s’oppose le dehors, le danger mais aussi la liberté. »

In French, ‘foyer’ encompasses a duality of spaces and materials. It can refer to the hearth, hence home; but it refers also to the centre of a fire, its point of origin, a term generally used in the context of a devastating blaze....
In her ‘Foyer’ series, Anne Milbeau explores this duality through space and materials. ‘The inside is contrasted with the outside – danger, but also freedom.’
