LÍDIA MASLLORENS

« Untitled II » this beautiful unique piece by Lìdia Masllorens shows her very special technique. Her portraits are painted with black acrylic, which is then removed and washed with a mixture of water and bleach. This allows new shapes to appear within the acrylic, creating a contrast and adding details to the piece.

Lídia embraces her unique spin on the watercolour technique. She wants the paper to suck up the water so it can warp and bend, the water to run down the canvas, the paint to degrade and her strokes to crumble under the bleach.

JUAN ESCUDERO

Discover the art of Juan Escudero — where color, movement, and emotion come together. His process begins with a single line. From there, each new line follows the previous one, allowing small irregularities to naturally become part of the next.

Through this process, patterns emerge that recall waves, water, landscapes and natural textures. For Escudero, his work is not about representing something specific, but about activating a process, almost like a visual improvisation.
The final work is created through etching and printing, where the movement of the process is transferred onto paper.

French Ceramist, trained at the Beaux-Art de Paris. Monadé explores material and texture : the surface of her sculptures each possess a distinct character - some rough and raw, others smooth and delicate.

She chooses engobe over glaze because it fuses color with the material itself. Her aim is to let the sculpture’s true essence shine through; she does not want the colors to obscure the material’s original texture. Her works are the embodiment of rigorous forms within an abstract realm of the imagination.
