We are excited to announce our October events, centered around collectible design and contemporary art with a strong focus on Eastern Europe! Hope to meet you in Prague, London or Paris!

Light Remembered brings together Initio Arts & Design and Reflecta, a contemporary lighting brand from Hungary that reinterprets design heritage for today. The exhibition creates a dialogue between historical objects and contemporary interpretations. Light Remembered shows how design heritage can remain relevant, evolving from collectible objects into new contemporary forms.

The exhibition Retro Lamps: Rediscovered Stories of Czechoslovak Design, curated by Eva Slunečková, brings together over a hundred light fixtures from the socialist area. We are proud to be lending close to twenty models, earlier researched and firstly published in our book, Easter Lights.

Initio Arts & Design is pleased to announce its participation at PAD London, held at Berkeley Square in Mayfair from 13 to 18 October.

Our presentation connects historical and contemporary creation with a strong focus on Central and Eastern Europe: sculptural ceramics by Vera Székely, Sándor Kecskeméti, Zsolt József Simon and Rebeka Rácz, rare and exceptional furniture pieces by Jindřich Halabala, Vittorio Dassi and Jules Leleu, contemporary voices from Demeter Fogarasi and Jiří Krejčiřík.

We are continuing our close collaboration with the estate of Kim Moltzer, bringing important pieces to London, such as the Bamboo Floor Lamp. Our booth will be completed with masterworks by Simon Hantaï and François-Xavier Lalanne.

Initio Arts & Design returns to the Ceramic Art Fair, Paris with an expanded presence, presenting four exceptional ceramic artists of Hungarian origin, from four different generations.

Rebeka Rácz (b. 1990) is in constant dialogue with clay and its forms, glazes and uses, whose figurative and abstract works unite the humour of surr
