A cake you can’t eat. A candle you can’t blow out. A celebration that feels strangely familiar.

Join us in Room 2 for the opening of PLASTIC METAMYTHOLOGY, Alexander Long’s () first solo exhibition in Mallorca, curated by Saskia Vallori ().

Using traditional cake-decorating techniques and industrial materials, Long creates sculptures that look ready for a party but resist consumption. Cakes and candles become a way to ask how images shape desire, and how objects made to be bought can become part of the rituals we inherit and repeat.

Opening alongside CONTEMPORARY RELICS in Room 1.

What remains when the party is over? 😈

In “Club Miseria: The Last Beat”, Bel Fullana (Bel Fullana) returns to the universe she first created at Casal Solleric in 2019. Not to reconstruct it, but to summon its ghost.

Across the Born window, the balcony and the central courtyard, fragments of the original club reappear through acid-green light, sound, smoke, projections and a monumental inflatable sculpture. What once existed underground now rises to the surface as an archaeological remnant, a luminous signal and one final pulse.

The party may have ended, but its energy is still breathing. 🟢🔊 (Virgen Maria) & (oro jondo)

Contemporary Relics brings together ten artists whose works move between ancestral memory and contemporary imagination — where bodies, landscapes and everyday objects become vessels for ritual, mystery and transformation.

A first glimpse featuring works by Jung Jisook (Jung Jisook 정지숙), Koshiro Akiyama (Koshiro Akiyama), Luna Paiva () and Maite y Manuel (Maite y Manuel).

Curated by Jean Claude Geraud (C.O.T) and presented in the context of Palma’s Nit de l’Art as a member of Art Palma Contemporani (Art Palma Contemporani).

Both artists revisit familiar visual languages, from femininity and street culture to domestic textiles and popular imagery, transforming them into new systems of meaning.

Last month, LA BIBI welcomed Austrian artist Robert Schaberl (Robert Schaberl) for a research and production residency. ⚪️⚫️

Born in Feldbach, Austria, in 1961, Robert Schaberl is known for his “Central Forms”: concentric abstract paintings whose colours and spatial effects shift according to light, movement, and the viewer’s perspective. Built through the meticulous superimposition of up to 70 layers of paint on a rotating canvas, their luminous surfaces move between opacity and reflection, creating an intense sense of depth and optical vibration.

Schaberl studied Art Education at Mozarteum University Salzburg. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in numerous public and private collections, including the ALBERTINA Museum, LENTOS Art Museum, Museum Liaunig, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, and the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest.
