We do not believe in the standard art gallery permanent location, an exhibition should be conceived without the gallery space limitations. An Ephemeral Exhibition represents the creative culmination of the artist; every detail is designed to create a unique universe.

Last month, LA BIBI welcomed Austrian artist Robert Schaberl (Robert Schaberl) for a research and production residency. ⚪️⚫️

Born in Feldbach, Austria, in 1961, Robert Schaberl is known for his “Central Forms”: concentric abstract paintings whose colours and spatial effects shift according to light, movement, and the viewer’s perspective. Built through the meticulous superimposition of up to 70 layers of paint on a rotating canvas, their luminous surfaces move between opacity and reflection, creating an intense sense of depth and optical vibration.

Schaberl studied Art Education at Mozarteum University Salzburg. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in numerous public and private collections, including the ALBERTINA Museum, LENTOS Art Museum, Museum Liaunig, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, and the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest.

Sound takes over “Synthetic Future”. 🔊

For the exhibition’s finissage, renowned DJ and producer Ángel Molina (.molina.official) presents a sound session conceived specifically for its final hours.

Moving through abstract, ambient and drone frequencies, sound becomes a sonic sculpture - unfolding among Alejandro Monge’s () artworks and transforming the way we experience the exhibition.

Guadalupe Salgado’s (Guadalupe Salgado) practice explores cultural syncretism through icons, myths, and ornamental forms drawn from the Spanish tradition. Her work examines how these symbols endure in the context of globalization, becoming desacralized, domesticated, or transformed into remnants of past glories. Working with wool, textiles, plastics, and construction materials, Salgado creates sculptures that function as simulations: hybrid artifacts that appear ancestral, yet resist being traced to a single origin.

Last month, LA BIBI welcomed Linhuei Chen (Linhuei Chen) for a research and production residency. 🌾

Born in Taiwan in 1981 and based in Rotterdam, Linhuei Chen is a Taiwanese-Dutch artist whose interdisciplinary practice explores migration, environmental change, and cultural transformation. Working across painting, participatory projects, and ecological field research, Chen investigates the relationships between humans, non-humans, and cultural landscapes, proposing alternative ways of understanding coexistence in a rapidly changing world.

Chen holds a BFA in Fine Art from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, as well as degrees in Engineering and Law. She has received grants from the Mondriaan Fonds and Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie, and her work is held in the collections of the Fenix Museum of Migration, the LAM Museum in the Netherlands, and the Ministry of Culture (Art Bank) in Taiwan.
