Recordad que el próximo 28 de febrero tenemos una cita en MACE con la nueva exposición FOCUS VIII, “BROKEN OPEN”, de la mano del artista y comisariada por Elena Ruiz (directora del MACE).
La inauguración comenzará a las 12h, en la Sala de Armas del museo.
Esta muestra reúne 13 obras de gran formato creadas en la isla entre 2022 y 2025. Mackinnon nos invita a recorrer un territorio emocional donde el paisaje de Ibiza (sus carreteras nocturnas, piscinas y señales de tráfico) funciona como un espejo de su mundo interior.
A través de series como Snakes and Ladders, el artista utiliza la metáfora del juego para hablarnos de la incertidumbre, el azar y la vida misma. Como sugiere el título, no se trata de estar roto, sino de “abrirse” ante la adversidad para descubrir nuevos caminos. Una oportunidad única para ver cómo lo cotidiano se transforma en algo mágico y vibrante.
La exposición cuenta con la colaboración de la Colección SOLO y la galería Gathering, y podrá visitarse hasta el 31 de mayo. ¡Os esperamos!

The opening starts at 12 pm in the museum’s Sala de Armas.
This exhibition brings together 13 large-format works created on the island between 2022 and 2025. Mackinnon invites us to traverse an emotional territory where the Ibiza landscape—its night roads, pools, and traffic signs—acts as a mirror of his inner world.
Through series like Snakes and Ladders, the artist uses the game metaphor to speak of uncertainty, chance, and life itself. As the title suggests, it's not about being broken, but “breaking open” in the face of adversity to discover new paths. A unique opportunity to see how the everyday transforms into something magical and vibrant.
