Souvenir - Loop City Screen 2026

Around 12 August, Mallorca experienced an astronomical event that temporarily transformed the island and the way its inhabitants saw it. Through an open call, Marijo Ribas collected more than 70 videos recorded before and after the eclipse, assembling a collective portrait of a phenomenon that, beyond predictions of mass overcrowding, gave rise to intimate experiences and moments of shared contemplation.

Drawing on this archive of images, Eclipse explores the social and telluric dimensions of the event, incorporating the collective voice of the Coral Jove Universitària.

Open Studio October 1 at 7 pm

This open studio brings together two distinct painting practices that explore how grids, lines, frames and architectural forms shape the act of looking.

Over a month-long residency, the artists have made oil paintings that come together at the threshold, where space, image and viewer interact. Their forms keep shifting through the play of perspectives between the inside and outside of the painting.

Less fixed structures than ways of entering and moving through the work, these elements allow perception to emerge as an embodied relation.

Documentation of the activation of Una volta més by .work at Espai Souvenir.

In Una volta i una altra i una altra, Marta Roc transforms used cooking oil, collected from a restaurant kitchen on the Costa Brava during a summer season, into soap.

Through this material displacement, the exhibition reflects on how tourism, seasonal labour and its residues shape forms of memory and duration. Like a pharmakon, where illness contains its own remedy, the oil embodies the tension between what sustains a season and what leaves behind traces of wear.

The exhibition was on view until July 9.

Permitted Vulnerability is the first solo presentation in Spain by Georgian artist and curator Gvantsa Jishkariani.

The exhibition brings together works moving between textile, language, craft and appropriation. Starting from decorative tapestries and visual references linked to post-Soviet culture, Jishkariani tears, transforms and reconstructs materials, incorporating embroidered phrases that oscillate between protest, irony and emotional tension.

Her works engage with kitsch, popular taste and forms often considered marginal or excessive, transforming them into a language of resistance, humour and vulnerability. Through this process, the exhibition reflects on memory, shame, control and the contradictions embedded in social and political realities.
