Join us on Friday, 14 August, 17:00-19:00, for the opening of Inside the Silence: Talking to Vilhelm Hammershøi, a solo exhibition by Maria & Natalia Petschatnikov.

Created especially for Albert Contemporary, the exhibition presents a new series of works inspired by the quiet intensity and psychological depth of Vilhelm Hammershøi. Rather than looking back, the artists open a contemporary dialogue about silence, memory, and the emotions that exist beneath the surface.

A glimpse into Inside the Silence: Talking to Vilhelm Hammershøi.

Through painting, monotypes, and intimate studies, Maria & Natalia Petschatnikov explore the quiet tension, emotion, and atmosphere that define Hammershøi’s universe - reinterpreted through their own contemporary visual language.

Preparation for Loss by Pernille Braun.

Currently on view at The Glass Factory in Sweden, Preparation for Loss is a new installation comprising 42 sculptural works that revisit and transform elements from Pernille Braun’s archive - some dating back to 2006.

Rooted in memory, material, and transformation, the exhibition explores how unfinished works and forgotten fragments can be reimagined into new sculptural forms, opening reflections on time, value, and possibility.

The exhibition runs until 24 October, and the full list of available works can be requested through us.
