Our director Giorgio Vitale is a mentor at this year’s SXSW London! ’s ‘ipseria’ proposes a fundamental contradiction: a virtual reality with no digitally-generated content: its entire environment rooted in the physical realm.

ipseria is/are multifaceted. polyphonic. collaborative. inclusive. q***r. ever-evolving. intersectional. existing as a mono- or multi-entity association in the mucus of vertebral organisms, it/they possess/es one unique skill: reproduction beyond its/their own species — q***ring the concept of identity and undermining classification systems.

although ipseria is an inherent potential in all of us, it has been inactivated by rational knowledge systems. only a sensual experience can bring it back. the multisensory mixed reality installation creates exactly that encounter - haptic, olfactory, sound - reconstituting the ability to imagine life through its full richness: fluid definitions, unstable categories, all peculiarities intact.

We are excited to announce our upcoming show: ONLY SLIME at HAU (Hebbel am Ufer, Berlin) – October 8 & 9. ✨

In this computer game opera, ONLY SLIME play two 3D avatars on a surreal quest for meaning in a simulated underworld. Inspired by Dante’s Inferno and games like Half-Life & Final Fantasy. Using real-time motion tracking + hyperpop-inspired autotune vocals, the duo guide avatars through an existential search for meaning, descent, and transformation.

Meet Klaudyna Koźmińska, a Berlin-based producer and interdisciplinary artist joining the synthesis team!

With a background in film and visual arts, Klaudyna studied film production at the Katowice Film School and graphic design and multimedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. At synthesis, she will be supporting production and project coordination across our new media art exhibitions.

She is also the founder of Castello Bizzarro, an international festival of q***r and experimental art held in a castle in Poland. Her practice merges artistic and curatorial approaches, with a focus on collaboration and process-driven formats.

“I believe in creating spaces where artistic experimentation and community come together.” Klaudyna shares.

Meet Ugo Pecoraio, an independent curator and advisor who is joining the synthesis team!

Ugo works where digital culture, technology, design, activism, and subcultures meet. His curatorial projects transform art spaces into socially inclusive and participatory ecosystems. Recent highlights include “DAY,” a project for artist Tobias Kaspar during Art Basel 2024, and “windows #1,” a solo exhibition by Michel Winterberg at space3000 during Art Basel Week 2023.

“I view exhibition spaces as dynamic ecosystems—connections between artists, communities, and the public.” Ugo explains.
