Peter Böhnisch — First Contact

Sand, pigment and minerals such as corundum, built up and broken open again and again: Peter Böhnisch works on the threshold between painting and relief. Landscapes, objects and astronaut-like figures appear as travellers between realities — their origins left undetermined.

Open Now: Eilike Schlenkhoff, Lara Kaiser, Paula Knaps Loos – SPACES AND TRACES
On display until: 12 June 2026

Eilike Schlenkhoff moves freely between colour field painting, minimalist approaches, and illusionistic space. Her brushstrokes and patches of colour assert themselves with visible confidence, driven by a persistent openness to experiment.

Lara Kaiser’s paintings turn the familiar – curtains, corridors, the studio – into a sustained inquiry into how images come into being. Between figuration and abstraction, her work reflects on the conditions of painting itself.

Paula Knaps Loos brings together family photographs, ornamental forms, and text fragments in layered collages. Printed on brass, aluminium, concrete, and paper, her works draw a continuous thread between personal history and the present.
