🌕 A G O R – O P E N I N G
✨ Was für ein Abend! ✨
Am Sonntag wurde die Ausstellung AGOR – Opening in der Full Moon Galler

Der Abend begann mit einführenden Worten von Stefan Kiehne, Gründer und Kurator der Full Moon Gallery, gefolgt von persönlichen Einblicken der Künstlerinnen Catrin Große, Iris Stöeber und Chris Bird-Jones, die die Geschichte hinter AGOR und ihre Erfahrungen des künstlerischen Austauschs zwischen Wales und Deutschland teilten.

Ihre unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Positionen waren dabei unmittelbar im Raum erlebbar: Catrin Große verwandelt ehemalige DDR-Straßenlampen in poetische Skulpturen, Iris Stöeber verbindet Zeichnung, Geometrie und Raum, während Chris Bird-Jones mit Glas, Licht und Schatten unsere Wahrnehmung in Bewegung bringt.

Während des Abends wurden zudem Arbeiten weiterer Künstlerinnen aus Wales in einem Screening gezeigt und eröffneten einen erweiterten Einblick in die vielfältige künstlerische Landschaft des Landes.

Die Atmosphäre war offen, herzlich und voller Neugier. Zwischen den Arbeiten entstanden Gespräche, neue Begegnungen und ein lebendiger Austausch zwischen Künstlerinnen und Gästen.

Ein Abend, der einmal mehr gezeigt hat: Kunst verbindet – über Grenzen hinweg. 🌕

✨ What an evening! ✨

On Sunday, AGOR – Opening was launched at Full Moon Gallery.
The evening began with introductory words by Stefan Kiehne, founder and curator of Full Moon Gallery, followed by personal insights from artists Catrin Große, Iris Stöeber and Chris Bird-Jones, who shared the story behind AGOR and their experiences of artistic exchange between Wales and Germany.

Their different artistic positions could be experienced throughout the gallery: Catrin Große transforms former East German street lamps into poetic sculptures, Iris Stöeber connects drawing, geometry and space, while Chris Bird-Jones works with glass, light and shadow to shift our perception.

During the evening, a screening also presented works by other women artists from Wales, offering a wider glimpse into the country's diverse artistic landscape.
The atmosphere was warm, open and full of curiosity. The evening continued with conversations, new encounters and lively exchanges between the artists and guests.

An evening that once again reminded us: art connects – across borders. 🌕

Iris Stöber ist eine deutsche Künstlerin, die mit Zeichnung, Druckgrafik, Objekten und Installationen arbeitet. Ihre Werke beschäftigen sich mit Reduktion, Konstruktion und dem Zusammenspiel von Zeichen, Form und Raum.

In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis widmet sie sich dem Zeichenhaften auf Papier sowie im Raum. Geometrie, Klarheit und Reduktion spielen dabei eine zentrale Rolle.

Für AGOR zeigt sie Arbeiten, in denen Zeichnung und Objekt miteinander in Dialog treten. Präzise Formen und räumliche Strukturen schaffen eine Verbindung zwischen Fläche und Raum und eröffnen neue Perspektiven auf Wahrnehmung und Bewegung.

Iris Stöber is a German artist working with drawing, printmaking, objects, and installation. Her work explores reduction, construction, and the relationship between signs, form, and space.

Her artistic practice focuses on signs on paper as well as in spatial works. Geometry, clarity, and reduction play a central role in her process.

For AGOR, she presents works where drawing and objects enter into dialogue. Precise forms and spatial structures create connections between surface and space, inviting new perspectives on perception and movement.

Catrin Große ist eine deutsche Künstlerin, die in den Bereichen Malerei, Druckgrafik, Skulptur und Installation arbeitet. Ihre künstlerische Praxis beschäftigt sich mit Transformation, Materialität sowie dem Verhältnis von Form, Raum und Erinnerung.
Catrin Große beschäftigt sich mit Brüchen – Momenten der Veränderung, die gleichzeitig zerstörerisch und schöpferisch sein können.

Für AGOR zeigt sie eine Serie von Skulpturen aus ehemaligen DDR-Straßenlampen. Die vertrauten Objekte aus dem öffentlichen Raum werden verwandelt und erhalten eine neue Bedeutung: Aus Relikten der Vergangenheit entstehen fragile, poetische Formen zwischen Erinnerung und Neubeginn.

Die Arbeiten erzählen von Transformation, Geschichte und der Möglichkeit, aus bestehenden Strukturen etwas Neues entstehen zu lassen.

Catrin Große is a German artist working across painting, printmaking, sculpture, and installation. Her practice explores transformation, materiality, and the relationship between form, space, and memory.

Catrin Große explores moments of rupture—experiences of change that can be both destructive and constructive.

For AGOR, she presents a series of sculptures created from former East German street lamps. Familiar objects from public spaces are transformed and given new meaning: historical remnants become fragile, poetic forms between memory and renewal.

Her works explore transformation, history, and the possibility of creating something new from existing structures.

Chris Bird-Jones ist eine walisische Künstlerin, die mit Glas, Licht und Reflexion arbeitet. Ihre künstlerische Praxis erforscht Wahrnehmung, Schatten und die wechselnde Beziehung zwischen Mensch, Raum und Umwelt.
Fasziniert von den Nuancen von Licht und Schatten, untersucht sie, wie unsere Wahrnehmung der Welt durch Reflexion, Bewegung und Veränderung beeinflusst wird.

Für AGOR zeigt sie Arbeiten aus Glas und digitalen Medien, die mit Transparenz, Spiegelung und Licht spielen. Die Werke schaffen Momente der Verbindung zwischen dem Sichtbaren und dem Unsichtbaren und laden dazu ein, die Welt aus einer neuen Perspektive zu betrachten.

Chris Bird-Jones is a Welsh artist working with glass, light, and reflection. Her practice explores perception, shadow, and the changing relationship between humans, space, and the environment.

Fascinated by the subtle nuances of light and shadow, she explores how our perception of the world is shaped by reflection, movement, and change.

For AGOR, she presents works in glass and digital media that play with transparency, reflection, and light. Her works create moments between the visible and invisible, inviting viewers to experience the world from a different perspective.

AGOR entstand während der Covid-19-Pandemie, in einer Zeit von Isolation, Unsicherheit und geschlossenen Grenzen.

Was als Online-Residenz begann, entwickelte sich zu einer internationalen künstlerischen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Wales und Deutschland. Trotz der Herausforderungen durch die Pandemie und den Brexit entstand ein Raum für Austausch, Kreativität und Verbindung.

Die Überzeugung blieb: Kunst muss weitergehen – auch wenn die Welt zum Stillstand kommt.

Die Ausstellung vereint zeitgenössische Positionen in Skulptur, Installation, Zeichnung, Fotografie, Glas und Mixed Media. Neben den Arbeiten von Catrin Große, Iris Stöber und Chris Bird-Jones zeigt AGOR ausgewählte zeitgenössische Künstlerinnen aus Wales.

AGOR emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic, at a time of isolation, uncertainty, and closed borders.

What began as an online residency grew into an international artistic collaboration connecting Wales and Germany. Despite the challenges of the pandemic and Brexit, the project created a space for exchange, creativity, and connection.

The conviction remained: art must continue—even when the world comes to a standstill.

The exhibition brings together contemporary practices through sculpture, installation, drawing, photography, glass, and mixed media. Alongside works by Catrin Große, Iris Stöber, and Chris Bird-Jones, AGOR presents selected contemporary women artists from Wales.

Am Sonntag konnten Besucher*innen in Leonore Adlers vielschichtige und farbintensive Bildwelten eintauchen. Zwischen leuchtenden Farben, überlagerten Strukturen und fragmentierten Formen entstanden hybride Landschaften aus Insekten, Pflanzen und organischen Elementen, die sich ständig zu verändern scheinen.
Ihre Arbeiten spielen mit Übergängen und Transformationen – Motive wachsen ineinander, lösen sich auf und tauchen an anderer Stelle wieder auf. So entsteht eine lebendige, fast traumartige Bildsprache, in der auch das Kleine und das oft Übersehene eine besondere Präsenz erhält.
Geprägt von Austausch, Begegnungen und einer wunderbar warmen Atmosphäre war die Vernissage ein gelungener Auftakt der Ausstellung.

On Sunday, visitors immersed themselves in Leonore Adler’s layered and vibrant visual worlds. Bright colors, overlapping structures, and fragmented forms created hybrid landscapes of insects, plants, and organic elements that seem to be in constant transformation.
Her works explore transitions and metamorphosis – motifs merge, dissolve, and reappear elsewhere. This creates a vivid, almost dreamlike visual language in which even the smallest and often overlooked elements gain a strong presence.
Characterised by exchange, encounters, and a wonderfully warm atmosphere, the opening was a beautiful start to the exhibition.
