Topic: Reincarnation
A few days ago, I read an article about this. My own view is that you can believe in reincarnation or not, but if you have even a little common sense, it makes sense—just to be on the safe side, in case reincarnation actually does exist—to avoid accumulating bad karma in this life.
The common idea about reincarnation is that we evolve, that the soul matures through experience, and that in the next life we are essentially reborn on a higher level of development or maturity. Of course, that does not mean there would no longer be difficulties to overcome. :(
But the article I read turns this common view pretty much upside down, and the idea has stayed with me ever since. According to it, the whole traditional theory of reincarnation is basically nonsense. Instead, it is the so-called “Higher Self” that sends out parts of itself in order to gather experiences.
In plain terms, that would mean there is no individual ego developing, eventually flowing back into the greater All-One and returning a little wiser. Instead, we would be more like puppets with a certain amount of freedom to move and act.
If you cut an earthworm in two, both parts may continue living, but they are no longer that one original earthworm. This idea of “there is no real me” is actually quite frightening—at least for those who cling to the traditional theory of reincarnation.
So what are we supposed to do?
Simply say, “F**k you up there, I’m going to enjoy every possible pleasure now because I won’t be held accountable for any of it anyway”?
Well… that could backfire rather badly if, as punishment, you were reborn in India cleaning sewers, as a woman in Sudan, or as cannon fodder somewhere else in the world. Perhaps even disabled or afflicted with some horrifying disease.
And now we suddenly have a genuine philosophical problem.
Could those who believe that reincarnation and all of this simply do not exist actually be better off, because they supposedly have nothing to fear once they are gone?
Of course, they probably do not ask themselves why they are here in the first place either, because then they might inevitably have to confront questions about their own meaning, usefulness—or perhaps even pointlessness.
So either way, avoiding the really serious mistakes, learning from the smaller ones, and trying to create a foundation for something good—or something better—surely cannot be wrong.
Ultimately, though, I hope that all the religions that speak of rebirth are somehow right, because the idea of being a puppet controlled by something that is not ME does not appeal to me at all.

Thema Reinkarnation:
Ich habe vor einigen Tagen einen Bericht gelesen. Also meine Meinung ist, man mag an Reinkarnation glauben oder nicht, aber wenn man ein bischen schlau ist, dann nimmt man sich schon allein sicherheitshalber vor (falls es Reinkarnation nämlich doch geben sollte) in diesem Leben kein schlechtes Karma anzusammeln.
Also die gängige Ansicht betr. Reinkarnation ist ja, dass man sich entwickelt, die Seele durch Erfahrung reift und im nächsten Leben quasi auf einem höheren Level (Reifegrad) wieder geboren wird, was natürlich nicht bedeutet, dass man da keine Schwierigkeiten zu meistern hätte. :(
Der Bericht den ich gelesen habe stellt diese gängige Ansicht aber so ziemlich auf den Kopf und will nicht in Vergessenheit geraten. Demnach soll diese ganze Reinkarnations-Theorie Mumpitz sein. Vielmehr ist es das sogenannte "Höhere Selbst" welche Teile von sich ausschickt um Erfahrungen zu sammeln. Heisst im Klartext "kein Ego" das sich entwickelt, wieder in die All-Einheit einfliesst und etwas schlauer zurück kommt, sondern eher eine Marionette mit einem gewissen freien Spielraum. Wenn man einen Regenwurm durchschneidet leben auch beide Teile weiter, sind aber nicht mehr der eine Regenwurm. Dieses "Nix Ich" ist eigentlich ziemlich beängstigend, zumindest für jene die sich an die reinkarnations-Theorie klammern.
Was also tun? Einfach sagen "F**k You da oben, ich gönn mir jetzt jeden Spass, denn ich werd ja nicht zur Rechenschaft gezogen dafür"? Puuuh, kann auch mächtig nach hinten losgehen, wenn man denn zur Strafe in Indien als Kanalputzer, als Frau im Sudan, oder als Kanonenfutter sonstwo wieder geboren wird. Womöglich auch noch verkrüppelt oder mit gruseligen Krankheiten bedacht.
Da haben wir nun also ein echtes philosophisches Problem!
Sind diejenigen die denken Reinkarnation etc. gibt es nicht vielleicht doch besser dran, weil sie vermeintlich nichts zu befürchten haben wenn sie erst mal weg sind? Die fragen sich natürlich auch nicht, wozu sie überhaupt hier sind, denn dann würden sie zwangsweise ihre Sinn-, Nutz- und Überflüssigkeit erkennen. Also so oder so, die groben Fehler vermeiden, aus den kleinen lernen, und versuchen eine Basis für etwas Gutes oder Besseres zu schaffen, ….. das kann gar nicht verkehrt sein. Letztendlich wünsche ich mir aber, dass alle Religionen die von Wiedergeburt sprechen doch irgendwie Recht haben, denn Marionette sein von etwas das nicht ICH bin, das behagt mir gar nicht!
