Beatriz González’s work arrives at Astrup Fearnley Museet for the final chapter of her landmark retrospective.
After its aruns at Pinacoteca de São Paulo and the Barbican in London, the exhibition comes to Oslo. It brings together over 150 works that span six decades of a practice like no other.
From painting and printmaking to furniture, television sets, and monumental public installations, González transformed the images around her — newspaper clippings of violence and loss, worn reproductions of Western masterworks — into art of startling beauty and political force.
