«Kunst für Anfänger»
Im gemeinsamen Kunsterlebnis durch die Ausstellung «Your Ambivalence»

Mittwoch, 27. Mai 2026, 18 Uhr

Haben Sie sich auch schon mal gefragt: Was soll das? Kann ich das auch? Dann ist dieses Angebot für Sie richtig!

Im gemeinsamen Erlebnis und im Dialog vermitteln wir die aktuelle Gruppenausstellung «Your Ambivalence» im Kunst Raum Riehen. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Kunstneulinge und Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Sprachkenntnissen – aber auch an alle, die mehr Berührungspunkte mit der Kunst finden möchten. Nach dem Anlass gibt es einen kleinen Apéro!

Die Veranstaltung wird durchgeführt von Birgit Barth und Aline Borer und findet in Zusammenarbeit mit TiM – Tandem im Museum statt: www.tim-tam.ch

A shared experience through the exhibition "Your Ambivalence"

Have you ever asked yourself: What’s the point of this? Can I do that too? Then this event is just right for you!

Through shared experiences and dialogue, we’ll explore the current group exhibition "Your Ambivalence" at Kunst Raum Riehen. The event is aimed at art newcomers and people with varying language skills—but also at anyone who would like to find more points of connection with art. A light reception will follow the event!

The event is organized by Birgit Barth and Aline Borer and takes place in collaboration with TiM – Tandem im Museum: www.tim-tam.ch

Die Regionale ist ein trinationales Ausstellungsprojekt, das Ländergrenzen überwindet. Dieses Jahr findet die 27. Ausgabe der Regionale vom 26. November 2026 bis zum 3. Januar 2027 statt. 21 Ausstellungsräume aus der Region Basel, dem Elsass und Südbaden präsentieren Werke von Kunstschaffenden, die sich vom 1. bis zum 31. Mai 2026 mit einem Dossier am Open Call der Regionale bewerben können: www.regionale.org

The Regionale is a tri-national exhibition project that transcends national borders. This year, the 27th edition of Regionale will take place from November 26th 2026, to January 3rd 2027. Unsere Gegenwart ist voller Widersprüche und viele Menschen sehnen sich nach Eindeutigkeiten. Dennoch existieren sie, die Ambivalenzen in der Gesellschaft und in unseren Gedanken. In der Psychologie eher negativ besetzt, ist die Ambivalenz in der Kunst eine Möglichkeit, subtile Machtverhältnisse sichtbar zu machen. Die Ausstellung spürt nach, wie zeitgenössische Künstlerinnen Diskrepanzen im Zusammenleben, in Körperbildern und in menschlichen Empfindungen zeigen.

Our present is full of contradictions, and many people long for clarity. Yet ambivalence exists in society and in our thoughts. Although ambivalence has mostly negative connotations in psychology, in art it becomes a way of making subtle power relations visible. The exhibition examines how contemporary artists depict discrepancies in coexistence, body images, and human emotions.

Wir laden Sie herzlich zu einem gemeinschaftlichen Kunsterlebnis für die ganze Familie im Kunst Raum Riehen ein!

Für die Erwachsenen bieten wir eine Führung durch die aktuellen Ausstellungen von Sonia Kacem und Lionne Saluz an. In einem parallelen Workshop können die Kinder ab 6 Jahren ihrer Fantasie und Kreativität freien Lauf lassen. Dazu offerieren wir Kaffee und Gipfeli! Es ist keine Anmeldung erforderlich, für die Erwachsenen kostet es CHF 5; Kinder kostenlos.

We cordially invite you to a shared art experience for the whole family at Kunst Raum Riehen!

For adults, we’re offering a guided tour of the current exhibitions by Sonia Kacem and Lionne Saluz. In a parallel workshop, children ages 6 and up can let their imagination and creativity run wild. We’ll also be serving coffee and croissants! No registration is required; the cost is CHF 5 for adults; children are free.
