Buchpräsentation & Ausstellung: „Professional“

Herzlich laden wir Sie zur Präsentation des Künstlerbuchs „Professional“ ein, begleitet von einer Ausstellung mit Arbeiten von Sylwia Zawiślak.
Professional ist ein Künstlerbuch, das anhand einer Serie von Linolschnitt-Selbstporträts eine scheinbar einfache, zugleich jedoch beunruhigende Frage stellt: Was würde passieren, wenn Ihr Beruf morgen verschwinden würde? Durch die Verbindung von vorgestellten Misserfolgen, alternativen Karrieren, vererbten Ängsten, Migrationserfahrungen und schwarzem Humor thematisiert das Projekt die Fragilität beruflicher Identität in der heutigen Gesellschaft.
Der Abend bietet die Gelegenheit, die Künstlerin kennenzulernen, Einblicke in die Entstehung des Buches zu erhalten und die Ausstellung mit Arbeiten aus dem Projekt zu besuchen.

* Möglichkeit, die ausgestellten Werke zu besichtigen und zu erwerben
* Führung durch die Ausstellung mit der Künstlerin im Anschluss an die Präsentation
* Möglichkeit, ein signiertes Exemplar des Buches zu erwerben
Die Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch, Deutsch und Polnisch statt.
Das Buch ist während der Veranstaltung zum Preis von 25 CHF erhältlich.

Wieczór będzie okazją do spotkania z autorką, poznania kulis powstawania książki oraz obejrzenia wystawy prezentującej prace z projektu.

You are warmly invited to the launch of the artist’s book “Professional”, accompanied by an exhibition of works by Sylwia Zawiślak.
“Professional” is an artist’s book that, through a series of linocut self-portraits, asks a seemingly simple yet unsettling question: What would happen if your profession disappeared tomorrow? Combining imagined failures, alternative careers, inherited fears, the experience of migration, and dark humour, the project reflects on the fragility of professional identity in today’s world.
The evening offers an opportunity to meet the artist, learn about the making of the book, and explore an exhibition featuring works from the project.
