Cyanotype Print Workshop with Wes

Create striking blue-and-white prints in this hands-on introduction to cyanotype, one of the oldest photographic processes. This beginner-friendly workshop explores how simple materials can produce beautiful, one-of-a-kind images.

The session will feature a short visual overview of cyanotype’s history and creative possibilities, including early botanical works by Anna Atkins and contemporary experimental approaches. Students will then learn the full process from start to finish, coating light-sensitive paper, composing images, exposing prints, and developing them in water. Students will have time to experiment and create multiple prints, leaving with a small collection of unique artworks!

Saturday, May 30
12:30PM – 3:30PM

Station Gallery is proud to present Strong & Free – a bold, inclusive exhibition celebrating identity, place, and what it means to call Canada home that will be on display June 13 – July 19, 2026.

What does it mean to be “strong and free” in Canada right now? This exhibition invites artists to explore that question through their own lens – whether it’s pride, tension, contradiction, or connection. Strong & Free embraces the full spectrum of lived experience, recognizing that our national identity isn’t one story – it’s many, layered and evolving.

This open call invites artists of all ages and experience levels to share work that reflects personal perspectives, cultural narratives, and creative interpretations of strength, freedom, and community.

Submission Guidelines:
• Open to all ages and all mediums
• Maximum 2 artworks per artist
• Maximum size: 36” x 36” (including frame)
• All works must be framed and ready to hang (wired – no sawtooth hangers)
• This is an open, non-juried exhibition

Deadline to submit is Friday, June 5 at 4:00 PM. Click here to join this exhibition:
