We’re so excited to have Stefan Sagmeister with us at Taglialatella Galleries ✨
For Before We Forgot Things Were Worse, the acclaimed New York-based designer and two-time Grammy Award winner presents a new body of work rooted in an idea that feels especially relevant right now: despite how it may sometimes feel, many aspects of life have actually gotten better over time.
Known for a career that has always moved between art, design, typography, and visual storytelling, Sagmeister has a way of taking big ideas and turning them into something immediate, playful. Come see Before We Forgot Things Were Worse in person and spend some time with Stefan’s latest works. FUGETABOUTIT is a sculpture carved from a single block of Carrara marble by Montreal-based artist stikki_peaches.

The work pays homage to the artist’s father’s journey as a tailor, weaving together nostalgic memories of playing with Star Wars toys in his atelier and immortalizing one of the first images that launched his street art career.

Created as a series of three unique sculptures, we’re delighted to share that all three are now part of private collections.

This sale marks the culmination of a three-year journey between Taglialatella Galleries and the artist to bring this ambitious vision to life.

Congratulations to the artist and the collectors who will steward these remarkable works for years to come. ✨
