Eagle Aerie Gallery is Roy Henry Vickers' artist-owned gallery located in Tofino, British Columbia. This stunning traditional Northwest Coast longhouse with a carved and painted cedar plank exterior, is a recognizable Tofino landmark. Inside discover Roy's creativity of paintings, original prints, calendars, art cards, and reproductions hanging as well as books surrounded by hand adzed cedar walls

among his totem poles and carvings. As you enter the large main hall, you'll notice the soft lighting and restful music that creates an atmosphere of harmony and peace. The gallery is open to the public seven days a week throughout the year. Built in 1986 with the help of Roy's family and legendary carver Henry Nolla, this gallery welcomes more than 200,000 visitors a year from all around the world. Please check the events calendar page to see when Roy is scheduled to be storytelling at Eagle Aerie Gallery - this is a not to be missed attraction! Guests gather in and around the sunken center in the main hall to listen to stories of Roy's life and times as well as inspiration of his work. Afterwards Roy is available to meet guests and autograph his reproductions.

“It has been 50 years since I left the Gitanmaax School of Art in Hazelton, B.C., and created my first limited-edition prints, Tsimshian Chief and Tsimshian Woman.
The Eagle is my maternal crest from my home village of Gitxaala.

I made my first trip to Europe this year to connect with the land of my ancestors. This work has an English, Irish, and Celtic influence, as well as my Asian ancestors.

My first self portrait is there evidenced by the eyebrows.
I am 78 years old and continue to enjoy my art through my golden years.
