The Art Gallery of Swift Current is pleased to present an exhibition of Steacy Easton’s artwork running from August 21 - October 31, 2026. Join us for a public reception on August 21, 7pm.

Diving into the photographic record of Gull Lake, SK, Further Shores explores the relationship between a community and its imagery. Responding to two photographs of the town made by renowned photographer Stephen Shore in the early 1970s, Steacy Easton compiles found images and original photographs to offer a more complicated view of the community, asking how we can truly represent and define a place. Drawing on the intersection of contemporary art history and rural identity, Further Shores challenges the historical canon, instead valuing the rural and everyday to offer insight into the unique identity of the community.
