What a year for the Shaker

43 years ago today, Lloyd Moseby became the first Blue Jays player ever named to The Sporting News All-Star Team.

In 151 games in 1983, he batted .315 with 18 home runs and 27 stolen bases and became the first Blue Jay to score 100 runs in a season.

He finished with a 6.0 WAR.

Hall of Famer Andy Bilesky was born on October 16, 1919 in Trail, B.C.
Andy guided his Little League teams to 28 district championships, 11 provincial titles and five Canadian championships.

Today’s is a game-used ball from Team Canada’s first no-hitter - a joint effort by three Canadian pitchers - which has been signed by the 2021 team!

Andrew Albers started the game, going 7 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts. Brendan McGuigan and Ben Onyshko followed up with an inning and a pair of strikeouts each.

This game was played as part of the 2021 WBSC Baseball Americas Qualifier, with Team Canada trying to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.

in baseball history, where were you when the infamous “Bat Flip Game” took place?

In the deciding game of the ALDS against the Texas Rangers going into the bottom of the 7th the Jays were down 3-2. Bautista walked up to the plate and hit a 3-run bomb before tossing the bat over his shoulder in defiance.

When Bautista was elected to the Level of Excellence, it was the career-defining moment that was commemorated on his bobblehead. Then, 10 years after the Bat Flip, Jose Bautista was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Bat Flip remains one of the greatest homeruns, and one of the greatest moments in Blue Jays history. 🍁

34 years ago today, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Oakland A's 9-2 in Game 6 of the ALCS to win their first AL pennant and become the first Canadian team to advance to the World Series.

Joe Carter and Candy Maldonado homered.

Juan Guzman got the win and Tom Henke got the final three outs.
