Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day, and June is National Indigenous History Month. It's a time to honour the rich history, heritage, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

Nutrien Wonderhub is situated on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. Along the banks of the beautiful South Saskatchewan River, we are reminded every day of our responsibility to care for and give thanks to these sacred lands.

We are committed to the journey of Truth and Reconciliation with our community, and to building meaningful relationships with Indigenous children, families, and communities.

Nutrien Wonderhub is proud to be one of only 20 children's museums worldwide selected to participate in the Cummins READY™ STEM education initiative, administered by the Association of Children's Museums. This partnership is helping us bring even more high-quality, hands-on STEM learning to children and families in our community.

We’re launching a brand new, geology-focused STEM drop-in program at our 7th Birthday Bash on Friday, June 26 and admission is FREE for all visitors! 🎉

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Irene Dubé, and extend our heartfelt condolences to the Dubé family during this time. Irene and her late husband Les made a tremendous impact on our community, including Nutrien Wonderhub, as their generosity was rooted in a deep belief in the power of education.

Les and Irene were Honorary "Kid Approved Capital Campaign" Chairs and generous donors to Wonderhub, helping make Saskatchewan's only children's museum a reality. Their contribution is honoured in the "North Woods and Gathering Place" exhibit, a warm cozy space where children and families come together, share stories, and connect with the beauty of Saskatchewan.

At Wonderhub, Irene and Les Dubé's impact will be felt by generations of families to come, through every playful learning moment and story shared.

Today is International Day of Play and it's what Wonderhub is all about! 🌍🎉 It's a time to celebrate the power of play, raise awareness about how central play is to every child's development and well-being, and come together to make sure every child can fulfil their right to play.

This year's theme is "Protect Play, Protect Childhood", a reminder for all of us that happy and healthy childhoods are built on play. Play builds creativity, resilience, and social skills, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning and well-being. And in too many communities, children's access to safe spaces to play freely is shrinking. That's why places like Nutrien Wonderhub matter.

We are committed to being a safe, inclusive, and accessible community resource that naturally encourages children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to explore, discover, and learn through play. Through hands-on exhibits and educational programming, we bring children and families together to create, learn, and play without boundaries. Through the Access Program at Wonderhub, we continue to work to remove barriers so that more children and families in our community can experience the joy of learning through play.

You can take part in play wherever you are, whether it’s visiting a children's museum, trying out a new play idea with your kids, or helping raise awareness with your friends and family about the importance of play and community resources like Wonderhub. Today and every day, play matters.
