Another painting that will be hard to part with when the time comes 🤍
“What Wounds We Carry”
The swan has long been a symbol of beauty, grace, and love. Here, however, the swan carries a wound upon its breast- a quiet reminder that even what appears strong and graceful can bear unseen pain. Caught between ascent and gravity, it lifts its gaze with its wings spread open in an act of defiance. The faint traces of blood reflected in the ripples suggest that our wounds can leave marks not only on the world around us, but also on the way we see ourselves. Yet among the darkness, lilies bloom. Offering a reminder that beauty, hope, and new life can still grow in the darkest of times. Ultimately, my painting is an invitation to consider what we carry, what leaves its mark upon us, and what continues to push us toward the light.
